We'd have lost that 1-3 last year.

Knowing our luck last year, that OG would have been ruled offside!

Was going to sum up but I dont need to as you have already done it ! Watched on IFollow with Radio B-leeds summary which worked fine when you cant get to Stevenage on a Tuesday night. Definite League 2 "fair" on display there were balls lumped end to end. They had at least 70% possession and deserved something out of it. Circa .lots of set pieces, O'Donnells crucial save ! and hitting the bar late on.

Our midfield was poor; the ball was either coming back at our resolute defence or hit up to our forwards. Seemed like a massive chasm in the centre of the pitch? . Vaughan was again excellent occupying their defence. Scannell needed to get more on the ball ? But this may be him getting back up to speed.

A wins a win and we'll take it. But we cannot get away from the need to bolster our option in midfield. I hear a couple of names and a young forward on loan.

A sign of good team is when you dont play great but still win.

A well ground out 3 points.

But before we get too excited, we were lucky not to concede at least 1 goal. 2 great saves.

The back 2 look solid. So happy with that. Wood can play a dangerous ball, almost every time on tonight's performance, so seems wasted at left back. Not to be over critical, when played at lb seems too back off a bit too much. Mellor - for a 15 min period in the second half, almost all attacking threat came from their left wing - just needs to sort his priorities when going forward.

Palmer had a great first 20 mins. Always reading the game breaking up play, but that got less as the game went on.
The rest of midfield almost none existent once the change had been made and wood switched to lb.

Donaldson wasted after the change 2 up top please, him and Vaughn look to link up wellin the first half hour or so. No criticism of Donaldson , just played out of position.

Without sounding like a downer, tonight's result could have been different, but it wasnt, so enjoy it for now. But without at least 1 more wide option, we will get found out later in the season.

The main positive is the fact we can play a hell of a lot better than this in an attacking sense. Winning ugly gets you out of this god forsaken division.

The joys of midweek away games. Shippers coach broke down in the car park. Had to get another sent down from Bradford.
We left Stevenage at midnight. I got to bed at 4am.
    Thank goodness we hadn't lost.

Well Stevenage haven't scored a goal yet and we've kept 2 clean sheets out of 3 so we all know how this one will end.

Hope so. They will have a 19yr old and 17yr old at centre half apparently because of injuries sustained yesterday, so in theory, Vaughan and Donaldson should have a field day.

That's if Vaughan plays. I think we might have seen him sustain is first injury of the season yesterday. Having said that, Donaldson and McCartan should have enough between them to terrorise a couple of teenagers

Gary said in his interview that he's had a bit of a cough and cold all week so he was giving him a bit of a rest.

Good going on Sat, did show how poor we are in midfield but also shows how strong we are in attack. Hopefully we will get back to back wins first time since *checks notes* December...

If that's Vaughan performing while ill, were in good hands goal wise. Haven't seen a pure predator like him for awhile (Save your Robinson jokes). The man loves an overhead kick, his shape in the box is fun to watch, hopefully one goes in soon. Donaldson's goal was a class finish, right up there with anything we've seen since Nakhi and prob better. great to see a confident forward line.

Stevenage have a fair few injuries, their defense is particularly depleted after Saturday and they could have to field a young back line.

Same line up as Saturday for us I hope. An opportunity for another three points, Stevenage haven't shown indications of being prolific in front of goal so far. As usual if we take them lightly we will pay the price.

Hard to believe, I know but, from what I've seen of him, he's actually been noticeably worse. Although he always looked lackadaisical he did at least make the occasional tackle, clever pass or forward run last season. All I've seen him do so far is saunter around in our half, avoiding the action as much as possible. With his higher league experience, physique and undoubted skill he should be a leader. All he's shown so far is that he's a shirker who really doesn't look like he wants to be here. He actually makes Tommy Doherty look motivated.
