Away vs Oldham Feb 1st

I've said this numerous times but like you say, it always seems to get poo pooed. We desperately need a dedicated ball winner in midfield but we haven't recruited one again during this transfer window. I would say AOC is the closest we have to one so surely, it's worth giving him a shot in midfield? One things for sure, he can't do any worse than what we've got there now.

 

Who have we got there atm? I haven’t seen any ball winning, just the opposite, no tackling at all.

Being a hand to mouth sort of Club we are committing commercial suicide persisting with the current set up. Probably they will give GB the chance to blood the new guys along side returning absentees, but I feel it is now too little too late.We have lost any advantage of position with games in hand and are in grave danger of becoming detached. More than ever we need strong leadership on the pitch, from the dug out and from the Boardroom, but we drift aimless on through choppy waters with no obvious signs of addressing the crisis that we all see coming. We need a root to branch overall to set a new direction and to stop the rot. Time for strong personalities and tough words City.

The way GB sets the team up and the overly defensive timidity we play with, practically begs the opposition to attack us and, with no attacks for their defence to worry about, they are supremely confident they can take us

It's there for all to see, I knew what was coming so if he wants to tear a post of mine to bits he can at least find it, as I said until yesterday I've poo pooped the suggestion but after that inept display yesterday as a short term measure IMO it wouldn't be a bad shout.
Even if Bowyer remained we wont keep turning up in numbers to support the lads away from home, you feel cheated there was no value in atteending yesterday and that can't continue.

 

I'm not sure it makes any difference, they obviously cant take instruction on board, or they dont understand them, or even worse after the clear the air meeting Bowyer said it's my way or the highway and persists trying to make a silk purse out of a sows ear.

 

It would be an absolute disaster to let him loose with the new signings and give him as Onside says, a chance to 'Bowyer them'.

 

Teams go through bad spells but we are in a rut and every match
We are gouging it deeper.I've always believed we would end a bad
run but my mindset is now zero expectation of getting anything
from any game.

Where is the next goal coming from If there is a player attitude
Problem? Then the new signings will soon get into that mindset as
players want to bond with each other and won't go against the
player attitudes so may not make any difference to the situation.

We are throwing away an opportunity to get straight back up this
season and that could leave us anchored in the basement where
bad runs like this could threaten our league status again!

 

DMH was so positive when he came onto the pitch, every time he got on the ball he used his pace and beat his man. Night and day compared to the players Bowyer has been able to ruin - Connolly for one.

 

I can't actually remember a City team consistently have such a low amount of shots on target every game.....

 

Not poo pooing it, but that stuff always gets trotted out when we are doing poorly. If we had the world's best "ball winner" what would he do with it? TBh I think that it is just a symptom of "not good enough" players, of which we have a lot.

 

Connolly is such a simple player.

He's fast.

He plays on the wing.

Bowyer struggles with these two basic facts

 

Whilst at the same time conceding huge amounts to the oppo, the stats are incredible.

I said after the Mansfield & Morecambe wins that we were a really shit team.

 

Exactly, Bowyer hasn't had time to get his teeth into him yet, and he mustn't be given that time.
