Jewell is doing very well at Swindon Town as Director Of Football, would he want the hassle of being a full time manager again.
Phil Parkinson is at Sunderland trying to revive the club.
Cherry I believe quoted he would not come back into football management one he lost his job at Valley Parade.
Not sure McCall would take the job if offered it when he knows Bradford City is still Stefan Rupp's club, and who could blame him.

Bronco, Understood. I was making a point rather than asking for them to come back. There are some on here that witter and witter and witter on about McCall coming back. If we want a truly successful manager that we have had before then pick from these three. No one else wants McCall and that should tell us something.

I'm obviously in the minority here but having McCall back is a metaphor for a change. If it was McCall so what. Anything or anybody would be an improvement.

 

That can't be disputed BUT if we are to fail (which none of us want) I would rather fail watching Stuarts type of footfall than Bowyer, but of course I would prefer to be successful..

 

They forgot to include the bits where we attacked!!

Sorry Bronco but I don't believe you.

If we played open, attacking, up and at them football but ended up in the middle of the division or worse you, and everyone else AND rightly so, would be up in arms asking why we were being so gung ho and we needed someone who was more pragmatic blah blah blah.

However if it was McCall there would be a 'Get out of jail' card in as much as he never carries the can for failure at Bradford City.

That is one of my concerns if he was to come back. The other being that I don't think he is a very good manager in general and particularly in tough, backs to the wall situations. Reviewing his previous two reigns, his time in Scotland and his time at Scunthorpe clearly show this.

We need someone stronger than McCall.

 

in interest bronco, how long would you give mccall if he were to come back? you've put there, if we were to fail you'd accept that because of his brand of football - but how long would you put up with it for? failure is failure no matter how it is presented.

I don’t know how this works but someone earlier mentioned that none of the boardroom was at the match , is that unusual if we have a boardroom that is.

Or does it mean none of the top officials of the club like Rhodes wasn’t there ? Can someone please explain.

 

so it should be easy for you to say. just looked through the last 4 pages of this thread and the whole mccall thread and nowhere can i see a post attributed to yourself saying if he was to return how long he would get not being successful simply due to his brand of football.

so, i'll ask you again bronco - in your opinion, how long would you give stuart mccall in a job if we were losing but his brand of football was good?
