Thanks to Carlisle, an astonishingly average group of players but who crucially have balance, a plan, organisation, and a reliable methodology, we're not bottom two.

Only fair that Bradford City seconds do the 'firsts' a favour...

However, the biggest problem is Southend won and are 4 points behind us now.

We haven't won in 6. Southend have.

How many more years on his contract do you reckon Stuart will get if we actually hit the bottom?

    2 years...

Honestly, I just don't understand the point in offering him a new contract.

It's like we don't watch the games. We are a shambles. Forget the injuries its a mess.

An awful lot of City fans won't have had the pleasure of watching Stuart play for City, they won't know how we feel about this man, he is loved and admired by a big percentage of fans here. This carry on at the moment is tarnishing his reputation bit by bit. Stuart McCall is a lovely man, great player, but he is no manager. For his own sanity and standing at BCFC, he should walk away

He’s a fighter. And because of that, he’s not going to admit defeat and walk away. No chance. Did you hear his interview? He made it clear he’ll be here until he’s sacked. Got angry and challenged the interviewer over his management skills. At no point did he sound like he’s ready to throw the towel in.

Now rock bottom of every form table. But hey, plenty on here were jerking off to wins against a 6th tier non league side and the worst team in the country. Well that worst team is now only 4 points behind us.

Southend kept two clean sheets and have 4 points from 6 now. They also are nearer being able to register more players who they already have in the building but are restricted due to an embargo.

Sparks is already putting some new towels on his Xmas list, because he wants to warm them up and give Stuart a relaxing head and shoulder massage in January. The other set of towels, he’ll send over to Rupp. He must be constantly under the shower trying to get all that sand out of his hair and eyes.

Sparks will have to face the fans sooner or later,as for the Scarlet Pimpernel he's probably still test driving one of his toy cars round a race track in Europe.

They're signing player on free transfers now also.

Also fans have started a protest which the players and club seem to be reacting too in a positive way.

While at Bradford City Pub team its carry on with heads in sand as usual.

You say that but he quit in 2010 and he quit at Motherwell. He has history of throwing the towel in when he knows he's hit rock bottom.

I can't help feeling he's hanging on like a limpet this time because he knows he isn't getting another job.

Southend have won two & drawn one of the last six, meanwhile we still can't find that polystyrene float to stop us drowning

Most sensible fans can distinguish between McCall, a club legend as a player and the McCall who is little more than an average lower league manager (and I'm being kind there!).

But if you want to continue to be provocative, go ahead with your nonsense about moving out of the relegation zone on goal difference simply because another club fared worse than we did yesterday. It's all been heard before.

Apparently Stuart likes 352 because it worked at Rangers.

Plus they're looking at the $hitshow happening at City and thinking they've got a decent chance of getting past us if they can just win a few games.

    Tin hat time....

I can see the logic of the contract extension. The club was trying to take him out of the firing line and take pressure off him by saying he's here next season and the players need to get on and play.

But, it only works from the club's side if they put some kind of break clause in it that says we need to approve the extra 12 months or both parties need to agree. From that perspective then there is some logic to it.

Unfortunately, our form has been a disaster since it was announced so it looks rather silly.
