It was quite a hard listen. Our most revered player falling apart because he’s desperate to bring success to the club. I think we all want him to be the one that turns it around, but most, if not all of us know he doesn’t have the skill set to do that. I took no pleasure from listening to that. Quite sad really.

I had to laugh at Paudie's comment in T&A today that it is mentally hard to have to switch on for 2 games a week. Try having to be switched on at work 5 or 6 days a week mate, like most fans. He also says that we are too good to go down, well Paudie, it would be nice to see you and your team mates provide evidence of this, starting today

I'm impressed with AK's observations to be honest. Spot on about the fact our recruitment is miles behind, also spot on that January is unlikely to produce much improvement, and that Stuart is (for once) showing an interest in the pre match warm up.
Streets ahead of the old Sticks days where the pre-game discussion revolved around telling fans their fears were unfounded and banging on about negativity.TallinnBantam, bailiff bridge bantam, bantamdave41 and 5 others like this. -

He's going to love this is Stuart. Right up his street for an overly optimistic and blinkered post match interview.
- A rousing finale
- Late goal giving hope
- Injuries robbing us of a key player
- Donaldson should have scored (hey, he scores that and its all different)
- Was decisive in taking BRE off
- More possession and pressure on them
- Us being caught (unluckily, obviously) on the break
- Lots of crosses and free kicks into the box
- Hosannah should have had a penalty

It’s now a matter of what matters most the club or a personality even if that personality is the clubs best ever player. This is his third spell in charge and each time he has had the unenviable record of 6 defeats on the trot and on present form it could be ten. We need a pragmatic manager who puts points before Nancy tactics and we need it quickly so he can get his own players in before January. Hope that is clear enoughStop hovering to collapse... Thought Stuart was gonna chin Jamie there at one point. But fair play he asked the questions unlike some of his predecessors.

Jamie Raynor is like Andrew Neil with his direct questions. Really got Stu on the hop. Not a bit like the gentle, let’s blame the ref questions we used to get on the Pulse

do something to curtail the downward spiral or we end up in
the National league with an unworkable financial situation.
Being relegated means untold problems that will challenge the very
existence of our club. I can't see Gordon Gibb making severe cuts to
the rent and if we have to move then where to and how will that work?
How many fans will say enough is enough and we won't be likely to
generate the finance to build a decent squad through lack of support?
I sometimes wonder how there can be such disparity between what the
fans think as regards what the players and manager etc think.
We are dreadful and I've seen some poor City sides over the years,1961
where we had to ask other clubs to vote us back in.
I have always wondered that the club have never had ambition, apart from
Richmond, where we decided we should be bigger and better than where
we have always been. When Richmond did what he said he would do he
then wanted to be Mr Celebrity in the prem and astounded me with players
he signed and wages he paid.
I don't want to see panic measures but I do want to see determination to stop
the rot and DO SOMETHING POSITIVE because otherwise it could end in
disaster and it's no good expecting 2/3 other clubs being "worse" than us
as we could find they have more desire to keep their league status.Manningham bantam, Dennis, The Evidence and 3 others like this. -

Love the way I follow tells us to say no to piracy. Isnt watching someone suck the life out of a football club a form of piracy ?

The way we allow a bunch of young men such free and easy access to our box, we should be showing our games on p*rnhub, not ifollow.

Longest air time ever this fella on the wireless. Luke.
TBH, if Stu does love the club, he should leave now. Let a new manager in. Let the new manager have a few weeks before the transfer window to work out who goes and who stays. Let the new manager have a few weeks to put his foot down and speak to Rupp and Sparks about what he wants.
The last thing we want, and it would be oh so typical City, is sacking Stu (or he walks) AFTER the window has shut.Fordy117, bantamlad92, Idlebantam and 3 others like this. -

An awful lot of City fans won't have had the pleasure of watching Stuart play for City, they won't know how we feel about this man, he is loved and admired by a big percentage of fans here. This carry on at the moment is tarnishing his reputation bit by bit. Stuart McCall is a lovely man, great player, but he is no manager. For his own sanity and standing at BCFC, he should walk away
