Just listening to the KB interview and he says we are 3/4 players short.
We are 3/4 players short in the back four ffs.

 

The comments from O’Conner in that interview epitomise everything that is wrong with us. His complete ignorance of how bad things are, are another reflection of how bad we are been managed and run. Believing something so far attached from the reality is a very very dangerous position to be in.

What was he expecting? All fans to be reading it to be like “yes Paudie, we believe in you!” Naive interview coming from someone who is massively underperforming and central to a lot of our problems.

100% agree. Any manager with any inch of a nouse in our position starts at one place only - do everything you can to make your team hard to beat. Having lost 5 on the trot surely you do everything you can to stop the rot and look to scrape a 0-0 at worse. We could have drawn the next 6 games 0-0 and I’d be fine with that.

McCall on the other hand persists with a formation and style of play that neither he or his squad are capable of. No injuries in the world are to blame for that.

 

Saying we need improvements in central defence......but last week when the free agent was mentioned to him who scored against us......we didn't need any help in that area.

Clueless.

 

More painful than watching the match that and that takes some doing, his heads gone it’s not nice to see but for his own sake and the clubs he needs to leave.

 

McCall: defensively too soft. We were better side going forward. Lots of spirit in 2nd half. Too soft. Desire to stop goals seen by Oldham. Needs to sorted out whether I’m here or not. I hope to be. We had 24 attempts on goal. We have top 10 going forward, bottom 2 defending. Took BRE because he made mistakes. Picked him for height, but it wasn’t his best day. Whoever this Luke was he just liked the sound of his own voice and took up too much time - the interview with Stuart was far more to the point and no question was left unasked or answer shirked, was dynamite - from 3 new players we now need 5 or 6, and man is Stuart hurting (to me he sounded very emotional) For the first time publicly he said in the last transfer window 'we got it wrong'

 

I hope he goes as soon as possible, with dignity. No-one can deny that Stuart is a club legend - possibly our greatest ever. He's a very fine man who led the club through the aftermath of the fire with great compassion and thoughtfulness. As a player, he helped to deliver some of our greatest moments. He should ever and forever be remembered and regarded as a true City great. And that's all why it's so important, he shouldn't leave under a dark cloud, fighting with the fans, unable to take criticism. Please Stuart, fall on your very well respected, well regarded sword.

 

Now rock bottom of every form table. But hey, plenty on here were jerking off to wins against a 6th tier non league side and the worst team in the country. Well that worst team is now only 4 points behind us.

 

Cannot see anything but defeat at Oldham sadly. Rowe and McAleny will be far too good for our defence. Once again it will be down to O'Donnell to keep the score down

Depressing times

 

Me too.My whole being is saying why even bother.Nothing is changing week after week.Cant defend,no goal threat,limp midfield, better when Guthrie is back blah.blah.blah.Yet I know at 2.45 my hand will develop a mind of its own, and unable to do anything about it i will reach out for my wallet take out the card and spend 10 fecking quid on this shower.I will feel dirty and ashamed for a couple of hours but justify it by hoping against all hope that this is the week that they decide to do a half decent impression of a football team and we scrape a 0 0 draw.Being a football fan does strange things to you.And to put the top hat on it I’m tee total so don’t have the alcohol to numb the pain that will inevitably follow as sure as night follows day.

How can a 6 foot 2 centre half be brushed away so easy.he only seems to have an aggression when he is being filmed on an I phone.

I've never in my life seen a professional team defend a penalty box so badly. And this morning one of our Centre Backs talks of how we're 'too good to go down'. There's zero awareness of how bad we are at this club. If this side were in the conference right now, we'd be bottom half.
