Away vs Morecambe 12th October

I see the early (8.30 from Shipley) train cancelled at Lancaster due to disorder.
The lads will have to make their own way from there.
A sign of things to come later?
I hope not.

 

Disorder? From our youth?

 

I hope the city fans on that train whose day has been ruined by a handful of idiots have got video evidence of their behaviour that they can pass on to the club.

 

Why what’s happened?

 

They say that there are no easy games. That’s not true. The table is starting to take shape, Morecambe are there for the the taking. This game demands 3 points.

 

All I know is what Jayteebee posted about the train from Shipley being cancelled due to disorder. Perhaps I'm making assumptions but if it is anything more than a handful of idiots that have caused the trouble and ruined an away day for the vast amount of decent fans that will have been on that train, I'd be gobsmacked.

 

Is this true though? Was it football fans and city supporters in particular? The only reason I ask is that the train coming the other way (Morecambe to Leeds), is also not running between Morecambe and Lancaster. Same reason cited for this change (i.e. passengers causing a disturbance).

 

It might be due to the line being blocked or flooded not unruly behaviour.

 

Just go in to Lancaster and get a bus or taxi it's only a short journey into morecambe.

 

Would have thought it was a bit too early for the wine gums to take effect

 

They're no easy games in the PL.

The standard in div 2 is sh&te and yes they're games a club should expect to win with this being one of them for us.

Yes, it was only the train arriving into Lancaster this morning and the subsequent one between Morecambe and Lancaster that got cancelled.

I do note that there are planned cancellations for tomorrow on that same route. Maybe a Northern Rail error on their website

 

Just got back into the uk after a few days away. Really cheesed off missing this game. Hope everyone gets behind the lads and we get three points.

Not willing to speculate on unruly behaviour, as such here - BUT post match, there are possibilities .........

Blackpool at home to Rotherham
Rochdale at home to Accrington
Morecambe at home to BCAFC

And that's just locally, some also may be 'passing through' ?

Can’t see it being that Ronnie as the train travels through the Yorkshire Dales towards Lancaster with no restriction. It was only the short connection between there and Morecambe that was suspended and only for 2 services (1 in each direction).

Not that this indicates it was unruly behaviour, I’m just pointing out that I wouldn’t expect Rotherham or Accrington fans to be anywhere near Morecambe

 

@Bronco is sat on the Shipley Bantams coach in front of me. It's his grandson who's poorly!

 

Mellor misses out altogether today, presumably with an injury. Henley comes in at right back, with young Staunton being added to the bench.

The rest of the team looks similar to last week, but I’m not too sure Parker has the formation right. He’s indicating 3 up top (Donaldson flanked by Ishmael and Connolly), with 3 in midfield and Cooke as the sitting midfielder.
