I can understand some of the criticism directed but I'll counter your bet, that no matter how many he scores, he will play a huge part in how our season pans out. Get a huge percentage of game time and we will be there about's.

 

Funnily enough, Andy, we and Oldham were charged by the F.A. after that game for failing to control our players. Oldham pleaded Guilty, largely as a result of their keeper running half the length of the pitch to get involved. We pleaded Not Guilty and I told the F.A I wanted Mr Sarginson, his two Assistants and the Fourth Official at the hearing so I could question them all as to their actions.
24 hours later case dropped against both Clubs!.
As to your music suggestion, very funny and I will see what I can do but be aware these guys have a way of getting their own back if they feel targeted and I would rather have three points.

Not for me, minimal changes to be made to a team on a really good run. Enforced switches only at this point.

 

This might be unpopulat on here but i really enjoyed the atmosphere on Saturday, especially in a sport where emotion and atmosphere is slowly being squeezed out of the game. It takes me back to my early days to some extent. I understand there are rules to be adhered to and that there is a fine line between raw emotion and being a dickhead but if the choice was Saturdays atmosphere or some of the mundane dull away atmospheres i’ve endured over the yeara i’d take Saturdays every day of the week.

 

Donaldson stays in the team for me without a doubt. Hardworking, holds the ball up well, takes some watching. Who cares who scores the goals as long as we keep winning. In fact much prefer the goals shared out, you are not relying on one player then.

I would bring Vaughan back in though alongside him, especially at home.
Will he bring Richards-Everton straight back in, I wonder.

Not yet. He had a good spell when he came on. He shows promise. If you just watch the highlights you will just see Donaldson's miss. Yes he should have buried it, but just focussing on that misses the hard work Donaldson put into that performance. Despite having someone stand on his ankle, unpunished by the ref, he ran his socks off and held the ball up really well.
TBH he might miss next week because of the ankle anyway, but even without scoring himself he is important to our game.

 

Special mention to O'Donnell with that world class save in the second half which gets better everytime you see it.

I get the impression most think this game is a nailed on certainty for a City win.
I'd exercise a little caution. Morecambe have made a career out of being bottom half of league 2. But that doesn't' mean they're a walk over.

 

Bit of a risky move that. It's a fair trek from the sea front to the ground if Ismail is called upon later in the game.

 

I took my daughter aged 8 to the game on Saturday. When I got to our seats I had a quick look around and knew we were in the middle of all the Schooligans, so I moved to the end block, another family did the same, then as the game kicked off the smoke bomb was set off right from where I had just been sitting.

I drove to the game and was in the car park well out of the way at full time. I'm on the train to Morecambe as my daughter is at a school party so I'm off with a few friends instead.

Atmosphere is great, but when you start to make others experience unenjoyable due to acting like a dickhead, I for one won't be sad to see these booted into the gutter.

 

Surely it's possible to create a good atmosphere by standing at the back and singing, without the need for pyrotechnics and pitch invasions? I've been to plenty of away games with cracking atmospheres without the stupid stuff.

As I said earlier. If he is pulling his weight, and lets be honest, that shouldnt even be a debate, as he is, and he is doing a job for the team, which he most definitely is, doesnt matter who scores.

 

We seem to have said that we'd be beaten on another day a few times this season.

But as those other days go by, we still aren't losing. Great sign surely.

 

Rage on facebook and Twitter about not getting tickets. They were on sale early September, they even made it all the way to general sale and people moan. Only yourself to blame if you didn't get one.

 

Exactly this - and as you say, something Donaldson is doing week in week out and which Doyle consistently failed to do last season. That is the major difference between what Tolly describes as two failing strikers; one did not score as much as we would have liked and contributed nothing else to the team, resulting in us losing far more games than we won, the other is not scoring as much as we'd like but his overall contribution is contributing to the fact we are winning more than we are losing.

 

Quite right Broncs. The noise from the 1765 was great all afternoon and I know GB and the lads really appreciated it, as always. I was above and left of the seated area and the difference in level baffled your noise but not from behind the goal, just great and commented on by the Morecambe people several times. All on to Macc for a repeat unless they get wound up in the next week or so. Thanks to all for turning out. Do it again on 26th.

 

Think @wetherbywhaler needs to have a word with his counterparts over at Morecambe about the entrance music. With Chris Sarginson being the man with the whistle and cards this weekend, we have to ask Morecambe to play the Benny Hill music for him.
