You sound surprised. Now he actually shows what sort of player he is and others have said he would shine once fit and playing. Now he is and clearly is a league one player at least. So he is likely to look a class above because he probably is.

 

Just think his time is up here.

Offering him a 2 year contract after he showed nothing last season was foolish.

 

It wouldn't matter if he was viewed as a championship player. Having 2 years out and highlighting you're better than the rest is concerning and shows how bad the requirement has been.

I don't think he's that good at all but it's good to have him back.

 

Beep beep come on you was saying a player out for 2 years can't be expected to perform as he did prior to his long term injury, you even quote above "you didn't think he's that good at all" really, it was far from a good performance but within that Bradford City team yesterday he was our best player and if you could not see that there is no hope for you mate.
It was his first game back and we don't know how his body will react to those 80+ minutes but with regards what he offered in those 80+ minutes he blew your argument right out of the water.

 

I thought Taylor battled away well and looked bright considering he hadn't had much football either.

Once again though it's our chronic lack of ability to get enough bodies in and around the box when we do finally get the ball down in advanced areas.

 

Tactics was all wrong for me but playing Taylor & Reeves highlights he doesn't know what he's doing.

It's no reflection on the players it's just that playing two players that haven't played together is a massive gamble.

It's just not working out for Bowyer here.

 

I think it certainly highlights the poor decision to offer out contracts to two central midfielders who are now 6th and 7th choice.

 

Yes, RT ......... And yet some lambasted the likes of Bronco and myself, who felt that once back in the fold, the lad is more than good enough, for league 2.

Boos were justified
Playing long ball with Vaughan against 3 big centre backs clearly wasnt working but that seemed to be the order of the afternoon
The poor pitch didn't help though
Oteh should have started instead of Vaughan and focused more on running down channels with his pace

Some fans were clapping them off...People just accept mediocrity...100% effort is a minimum but some players aren't giving that at the moment

If BRE isnt dropped next week it's a joke..his stupidity cost us..that's the 2nd time this season hes had a rush of blood

 

I agree, I'd pair up both O'Connors next week. BRE needs that wake-up call, he didn't need to make that challenge, just stand up, the guy was going nowhere.

There is always a plan 'B' ........... It's just that when things are not going well, GB plays plan 'Z', bypassing all other plans.......... Only 'B' and 'C' work - And until GB gets a decent assistant, this will continue, sadly.

 

If BRE doesn't concentrate on his football more than his clothing company, I can see an NKP situation where he will go further down hill and it turn sour with the fans.

The formation was wrong but it is a reflection on the players too in that they aren't doing a job. Taylor and Reeves worked well, that wasn't a problem, the problem is when your wide men do nothing and offer no outlet at all. Reeves on numerous times wanted them to move but they didn't.

When your centre half makes stupid challenges like he did for penalty then your always going to be in trouble. BRE needs dropping now, he's been poor for a few games now.

Last minute decision to go on Sat and after watching that I'm also starting to lose faith!! I'm not calling for his head but I think something needs to change - be it tactics, formation, players - whatever it be it needs to change before we drop too far.

 

Drury needs to go. The change should be to bring another number 2 in and drop Drury down to a coach to see out his contract if Rhodes believes Bowyer is the man.

Think Bowyer is too stubborn he's acting like a one trick pony. He is swapping and changing the midfield but we're leaking goals and we have POC just sat on the bench.

To play Vaughan up top on his own was a joke.

Think the club need to seriously have a think if Bowyer is the man for us and if not make a quick decision because we look flat as a team and the players looking confused.

We need to do something! Massive game on Saturday now.

 

The Drury thing pops up every couple of weeks, I really don't see that as an issue.

I think the middle of midfield has been a concern but after Saturday I could see both starting with possibly Cooke pushing on making it a 5 in midfield. To be fair the back has looked solid until recently but agree POC should come back in.

The McCartan issue is strange as he would have been perfect to play in the 10 role and supporting Vaughan on Saturday but he wasn't even on the becnh - must still be not fit enough??
