I can't see it being something Bowyer tells them not to do, it's like most things confidence, but no excuse today they were a poor side that we couldn't take advantage of.

IMO until the stupid challenge that gave Macclesfield the penalty there was only one team going to win the game, they score that and their confidence grew.

The issue we've had all season is the strikers have been isolated, he's not tried to change that aspect. Took his time to bring Oteh on, don't get me wrong we are stretched with injuries etc but the starting eleven today should of been enough to win today's game.

 

Without doubt and I still believe if Everton had not conceded that pen we would have won even though we huffed and puffed, they never looked like scoring.

 

We never looked like scoring either. We had 2 chances all game, one of which a set piece, the other a gift handed to us by the opponent. We were hopeless going forward

Without Donaldo's holdup play the system just doesn't work. Although the pitch didn't help, i'm not sure it would have made any difference to our attack play which is so laboured and one dimensional. The amount of hoofball today against two brick walls at the back reminded me of the way we ended up playing Doyle. Completely counter productive.

 

Up until that point no. One set play throughout the entire game was about as good as it got. Unacceptable.

What is puzzling is how GB can watch his team play so badly and not change things around, It is obvious the system does not suit the players or the style he insists on is just not working,

after today I’m starting to agree mate. We should be battering these teams with the team we have. We don’t move the ball fast enough and the hoofing today was awful. Awful performance by many. REEVES was the shining light.
