Everything was coming through Connolly and Ismail when they first came into the side but in the last two games especially, they've been marked out of the game. It seems as if the only time they receive the ball is when they're hogging the touchline and faced by two opponents. The movement from the wide players has to be better to create space for themselves but the midfield has to be braver in passing to them, not 5 yard square safety balls. Reeves did it once or twice to Connolly today in terms of a slide ball in behind and it worked but it just doesn't happen enough.

 

Wont right him off yet, as that radio clip say many will be coming back from injury and hopefully be fit for the New Year lets see how we perform when we have more to choose from.

 

I can't see it being something Bowyer tells them not to do, it's like most things confidence, but no excuse today they were a poor side that we couldn't take advantage of.
Newport will give us a test next Saturday, well win that.

Oh, well in that case too right we were lucky. Then again macclesfield didn't deserve a goal either. 0-0 would've been more reflective of the game

It was a poor appointment because he proved nothing during last season and clearly isn't delivering this. It's poor!!

Bowyer is old school! He's lost it! Gone! Put a folk him him.. he's shite.

 

And already looking frustrated. A lot of pointing by him, trying to direct some runs. He played some lovely long balls into the channels, which unfortunately we're often read. Hopefully if he cements his place in the team, the other outfield players will start learning his game.

You will find anything you can to have a good old moan about.

There were boos at half time and full time, yes.

 

Just think his time is up here.

Offering him a 2 year contract after he showed nothing last season was foolish.

 

It wouldn't matter if he was viewed as a championship player. Having 2 years out and highlighting you're better than the rest is concerning and shows how bad the requirement has been.

I don't think he's that good at all but it's good to have him back.

 

Tactics was all wrong for me but playing Taylor & Reeves highlights he doesn't know what he's doing.

It's no reflection on the players it's just that playing two players that haven't played together is a massive gamble.

It's just not working out for Bowyer here.

Boos were justified
Playing long ball with Vaughan against 3 big centre backs clearly wasnt working but that seemed to be the order of the afternoon
The poor pitch didn't help though
Oteh should have started instead of Vaughan and focused more on running down channels with his pace

Some fans were clapping them off...People just accept mediocrity...100% effort is a minimum but some players aren't giving that at the moment

If BRE isnt dropped next week it's a joke..his stupidity cost us..that's the 2nd time this season hes had a rush of blood

 

or maybe it's because he's a good player and the reason why Bowyer wanted him back in the team? Think we discussed this last week.

 

Sorry mate, I am losing faith in Bowyer. I don't think he knows what he's doing here!
