I didn’t watch the game however a 0-0 draw against a team in a higher division where we played a team that had four academy players in? Sounds good to me. It’s a shame to lose on penalties but that will be some valuable experience for the young lads as well as some much needed minutes under the belts of those not involved on Saturday.

 

Looks like quite a dull game from the highlights and we didn't really have any chances at all.

Not sure whether to watch or not. Wouldn’t normally be that bothered about this competition but it's been so long without any competitive games to watch and I really enjoyed the game on Saturday so maybe....

 

Win this and that’s 15k prize money in 3 days. Not to be sniffed at. Go for it with a strongish xi

 

I think this game is a fantastic opportunity for us to get some much needed game time for the players, not have to worry about the result and if we win then it’s a bonus. I’m sure Doncaster will be treating it the same.

It will be a nice opportunity for some of the younger players to get some game time. Makes sense to try them out in games with little to no pressure on the results.

Well I note that we seem to be able to play, look organised and have plenty of energy. Plus some youngsters looking good.

 

Is the second team doing ok? Seen different opinions we seem to have the negative camp where nothing is right and the seasoned City camp who appreciate where not Brazil and a lowly 4th decision team (in old money).
Haven’t been on here for months more depressing than the news.

 

Set pieces have been terrible.

Ismael was out because of the covid regulations. Had a slight sore throat and cough so club sent him for a test. Result didn't come back till 6pm so it was too late.

 

They may be meaningless games to you Fordy, and you are entitled to your opinion, that's what forums are there for, different opinions but I can assure you that this will not have been meaningless to Stuart or Kenny Black.

 

I read somewhere it’s about £7.

 

It does look like the penalty crosses the line. Anyway it doesn’t matter, much needed game time and experience for the players, that’s the main thing.
