Like the look of that starting 11. Back to 4 at the back thank goodness. Connolly could be key, need him to get a decent supply in for Doyle and Vaughan. Taylor on the left likely to come inside more but with Woods crossing ability from fullback I think there's a balance to the side.

Hoping the coup of bringing back someone as on form as Doyle will make players up their game offensively. Both in terms of making sure we give the strikers service but also Vaughan - I want him to be busting a gut to get himself on the score sheet today. Doyles return and Donaldson impending fitness suddenly gives us more attaching options. That competition should make players raise their game

I can accept defeats but not ones where we play like a bunch of strangers, it’s happening too often.You wonder how this squad can manage to be so poor on the road.

Doyle coming back could have been a catalyst, so far it’s the opposite.

you watch team like Sheffield United, the fighting qualities and organisation are unbelievable and gets them results. I do think bowyer should stick to his guns on formation esp away from home.

 

So maybe this tells us everything we need to know. It’s got feck all to do with the playing staff, more the management and style of football.

Exactly we have a very good system which has been getting results changing it was madness in my opinion

 

I’ve said it repeatedly we need some muscle in midfield. Palmer and Reeves are both light weight. It’s not rocket science.

Looks like we will need to go into transfer market again. There’s no one on the books who can impose himself physically in the midfield. No one. That is a serious omission considering we’re awash with midfielders.
