Bowyer's fault. He said he wanted height and pace then signs Palmer. Then Reeves comes back and we have Palmer & Reeves in centre mid.

However, I don't think we are attacking enough and that's why we're where we find ourselves.

 

Ismail has been a big miss. Things happened when we got the ball into him in and around the box. Can clearly see why he gets moved on though as he can't keep himself fit. If McCall can get 8-10 games out of him come the end of the season it would be a bonus as he's actually the only wide men we have with any quality. Hopefully Middleton can make an impact and it won't be as much as a problem as it currently is.

 

I agree. However, it certainly doesn't help when you have a great big lump in central midfield who can't tackle his way out of a wet paper bag.

Not for me.. McCartan worse(250k), Reeves worse(150k), POC worse, AOC worse, Mellor worse.

For me a DM on a free shouldn't have the world of expections.

Yes, he's been a let down but 250k on McCartan getting the odd goal here and there then Reeves missing for 2 years having spent 150k.

Akpan hasn't been great but when a problem is a DM/CM player then you're not concentrating on the real problems.

 

I have to agree with you on that, but in the context of every other foul the ref gave I think the players expected the free kick. Still had plenty of chance to defend it though after that.

 

AOC seriously, he was a fault for both goals for me.

Watch the goals again! He always goes wondering for the ball!

Its true that, and it made me cringe when Stuart was berating it on the radio after the game. We didn't lose 1-0. We lost 2-1 after being one up. The way they were all over us, I wouldn't have been suprised if they had countered direct from our free kick (if it had been given) and scored anyway.

 

It wasn't a free kick.. no chance! Harry too soft.

 

Whether a free kick or not, it happened about 15 seconds before the goal was scored, and we had plenty of opportunity to clear the ball when it ended up in our box, very poor defending, and poor excuse from McCall, trying to deflect blame on to the officials instead of the shocking defending

 

Have to say, Pritchard has a few fans on here, but has he earned it?

Looks a bit non league to me.

 

Another one who went backward under Bowyer although the injuries don’t help.

 

He's be poor for a while.

Knew he was slow but looks like a caravan on a motorway as I speed past in my Merc.

 

Dunno, he's a non league guy who Bowyer picked up at Blackpool, Grayson thought he looked non-league so was happy to release him on a free, has come here and I'm not sure what his level is to be honest...

I wouldn't be surprised if his next club was a National League side.

Bowyer just sorted his mates out and because Rhodes is utter clueless and we have no sporting director it happened. Pritchard and Taylor- seriously!

Already talk on the another thread on here about McCall wanting Hendrie back!!

Then we wonder why we have shi&e in our ranks!

Does anybody know if Longridge is on a one or two-year contract with us.? His loan period has been extended by Torquay.

God only knows how many wingers we have if you include Gibson and Pritchard who can also play there and Connor Wood. I make it seven. Make that eight if Stuart uses McCartan out wide again. Absolutely mad when you consider we haven’t got a bossman in midfield. Yes Bowyer didn’t have a clue but you’d think somebody above him would have said just a minute how many more wide men do we need. I think when Lawn was here it wouldn’t have happened.
