Maybe Stuart should have taken a leaf out of Cambridge’s book first half and played long balls into the box with Novak and Donaldson up front as well as sitting to deep second half we didn’t us the conditions well enough first half

 

he took the credit on Tuesday night with the changes he made at half-time and fairly so - he has to take the criticism and responsibility for today too. poor game management, poor substitutions and poor change in shape from the manager today.. not good enough.

if you concede an equaliser in the last two minutes, there is no way you should be conceding another but we sat back again and tried to defend on the edge of our own box - like we did against Grimsby, like we did against Stevenage. luckily Hanson and Tom Soares weren't more composed in the 90th+ minutes in the previous two matches or we could be looking at 2 losses and a draw rather than a win, a loss and a draw. thankfully we're not.

 

Paudie's running off complaining, how about stopping the attacker. You know like, for a change. Cos that's what you're supposed to do.

 

Stuart just said “12 games left” - FFS.

 

5-4-1 was way too defensive.

If he'd switched Pritchard for Akpan, Connolly for Middleton and Donaldson for McCartan in the second half we'd have won it I reckon.

Conditions were pretty similar both halves. They played much better second half and we stopped playing and went too defensive. Poor subs for me.

Not going to dwell on this result, the teams ruined far too many a Saturday for me to care.

But I have to say, that defending for the 2nd goal is atrocious. All those players we have in the box and a man runs free, the ball is simply rolled through uninterrupted 3 yards out from the goal? Can O'Donnell not collect? How is no one challenging the cross?

I hate 3 central defenders at the back, thought we had seen the last of that formation when Bowyer was sacked

 

Don't think the gale force wind helped. Anybody notice that. My only problem with City today or McCall if you like is that we didn't play the ball on the floor in the second half.

 

The crazy thing about this team this season is bowyer overloads the team with garbage midfielders and yet we have no midfield.
Cannot stop teams running through us and shooting at will.
Next season will be down to how many season tickets get sold by the McCall myth.
Otherwise City will be in the khazi league for some time yet.

 

Bang on that, i want McCall to tell me why he went to 5 at the back? Or has he not actually been following us this season like he alluded to?

 

Not sure Cambridge are wind immune, let’s not make weather the excuse when it’s the same for both teams.

 

it's a long list of reasons we lost today.. the real reason will be right at the bottom of some peoples list though.

I'm not sure what he could have done by the sounds of it, it was all one way traffic second half.

it's not the same for both teams if its stronger in the second half.

 

We need to file a complaint against the EFL.

It's totally unfair that the weather and pitch only affects us every game! We'd be walking this league otherwise.

 

It wasn’t it was bad both half’s, they played the conditions better. I made a comment at half time about weather advantages, as I wasn’t getting carried away with the lead, we were the better team first half because of the weather but they were far far superior second half, way beyond what we did in the first. And their manager went for it instead of bringing on more defenders.

 

I thought they were actually doing alright until we went to a back 5.

 

Agree. I was there. It was bloody awful but pretty much equally as bad both halves.
