As already said above I was disappointed with SMc to bring on an extra defender taking away from our already poor attack in the second half, poor that Stu come on...

 

Why did he also not instruct full backs to help out ROD on goal kicks, just watching him kick it out of play nearly every time.

 

I’m not surprised, this squad is simply not good enough

 

Akpan faded in the second half. Just needed to change him. Reeves inevitably got tired because he was playing for him and Akpan. Novak was never going to survive by himself up top.

 

This is my biggest worry about Stuart. Crazy decsion to bring on Paudie. Just allowed them to pour through the midfield and the inevitable happened. He should have brought Pritchard on instead of Middleton to shore up the midfield. It was so obvious as many on here have commented. Very disappointing but also suggesting he hasn't learned very much over the years.

 

Bit annoying that. He watched the Cambridge keeper do the exact same thing in the first half. Did we not learn????

 

Perhaps they should have had the extra midfielder as I suggested to deny Cambridge all the possession second half

 

Outclassed by mid table garbage, we simply look worse on the ball than every team we play. We were winning at half time because of the conditions.

But the biggest crime was to bring the extra defender on, imagine if it was Bowyer in charge the flack he’d be getting! Stuart needs to take credit for that loss.

 

I agree. I was furious when he brought Paudie on and said we would end up losing the game.

I think the game was crying out for Donaldson with his hold up play in the second half

 

Another season of league 2 beckons I’m afraid. It took 6 years to get out of this league last time, who knows how long this time. Incidentally Bowyer would have been slated for the 2nd half tactics today be interesting how people react to Stu doing the same thing.

 

Novak had to score at 1-0 when Connolly broke thru around 70 mins.
Reeves is a class above the rest of them, but needs someone even just half decent alongside him to break play up.
Paudie is shit.
Think that could be the final straw in promotion push this year.
