Considering this lot are top of the table, I think we've shown up well so far.

 

Novak partnering Rowe is going to be a very good partnership, lets hope Novak is fit enough for the Southend game.

 

I don't think Rowe is a natural target man. He looks like he wants to be facing the goal and playing off a front man like Novak.

 

I agree. Very similar situation to Rowe, contractually. A similar fee and I think we’ll get him.

 

We need to put real distance between us and the drop zone over the next 3 weeks. We're clearly more solid, much more difficult to play against. We just need a bit more quality in the final third.

 

Gonna take a lot longer with the premiership, under the thumb of Sky, they have invested so much in this much maligned campaign, didn't do their homework,,

Having watched the game you may have been right on this one. Rowe definitely looks like he'd work better off a front man so with Novak being out we may have to throw Donaldson back in to lead the line.

 

The league position is currently poor but ON THE PITCH we are now more than a match for anyone. Can only see us going one way from now on. And that's not down.

In what way did he remind you of Uriah Rennie?

 

I thought FCD had his best game in a City shirt. He's clearly still a work in progress but he was up against a very experienced and quality player in Hoolahan. For the most part I thought he looked after him well, showed a bit more maturity and aggression in his defending and didn't give the ball away often. I think he'll grow into a very good player at L1/2 level.

The O'Connors were excellent too. In fact, our defensive organisation, work rate and aggression were top notch. And Sutton looks a completely different player.

 

He let the game flow but when necessary he had a word with the player and if required booked him, I thought he was excellent yesterday .

 

There's something i like about Sutton, an air of unpredictabilty about what he's gonna do. Couple that with the pace he's got, just let him roam about and have someone disciplined around him.

 

Fair comment Sean, thanks. Bang on with the shirts, when I saw the state of the pitch I feared a Man U at Southampton experience for us, however your game analysis was fair. One thing though I did feel we deserved to win on the second half performance. I was at the game so saw a lot of what cameras don't pick up, ie the wider angles of play and all over the pitch second half we were better.

However, can't complain 4 points from the top of the league and no goals conceded is a decent return, got to keep it up now.

One thing for you, over the two games we shackled Mullin and when that happens he drifts wide and out of the game, a point noted by a scout from one of your upcoming opponents. All the best for the rest of the season.

 

Sellars in his press conference saying that Novak and Pritchard are injury doubts but said 5 outa the injured 6 was out on the training pitch today so guessing if he is injured it’s not long term. Guessing Ismael is the one not training still or O’Donnell
