If that’s the case and unless we are going to rely on Donaldson I think we should think again about the type of striker we bring in because Rowe doesn’t look like a line leader

 

Cheers Dave. Its really unlucky for Novak as I think we're playing a formation that suits him and with someone like Rowe who smacks it from anywhere we have two different forwards that would really cause opposition a problem.

I agree. We need a proper Number 9. I wouldn’t be surprised to see us go for Mullin.

 

Does Rowe have to lead the line, as we saw today and when Rowe played against us for Oldham the other week he was all over dragging defenders with him rather than being static up top, listening to Trueman today it would not surprise me to see McAleny in Claret & Amber before then end of transfer window.

 

He can’t half hit a ball. If we get a proper left winger, a proper number 9, I think we’re well set for everything else.

Not just defence, the whole team @Park bantam, how many times was Clarke or Evans tracking back. They're really playing for each other and it's a shame we can't be there to cheer them on becuase right now they're are really playing as a team and deserve a cheer.

 

I agree. Very similar situation to Rowe, contractually. A similar fee and I think we’ll get him.

We're solid. Just need to find a way to get some goals. Play offs is a way away but those up there will not want to be playing us in the second half of the season because we're not an easy match anymore.

As well as he’s played I don’t think he’s as comfortable playing on the left. He will always turn back inside which means he’s facing his keeper, then more times than the forward momentum is halted.
I think he’ll keep his place for now but in my opinion I think he’ll be the one to make way for Canavan. Particularly as Paudie has been given the armband.

 

We need to put real distance between us and the drop zone over the next 3 weeks. We're clearly more solid, much more difficult to play against. We just need a bit more quality in the final third.
