Do you know what, the commentary was so, so good, so unbiased, and so knowledgable, (giving stats and information about both sides), that it was a breadth of fresh air for me. I could do with them two doing all our games. It just made me realise how amateurish Radio Leeds (and the old Pulse station) are/were.

BTW- We are/were a basket case of a club since a certain person “who knows football” came and left. We have bottomed and now seem to have a better structure in place, and think/hope the corner has been turned and we are on our way back.

Fair comment Sean, thanks. Bang on with the shirts, when I saw the state of the pitch I feared a Man U at Southampton experience for us, however your game analysis was fair. One thing though I did feel we deserved to win on the second half performance. I was at the game so saw a lot of what cameras don't pick up, ie the wider angles of play and all over the pitch second half we were better.

However, can't complain 4 points from the top of the league and no goals conceded is a decent return, got to keep it up now.

One thing for you, over the two games we shackled Mullin and when that happens he drifts wide and out of the game, a point noted by a scout from one of your upcoming opponents. All the best for the rest of the season.

 

The commentary mirrored the game i was watching, apart from getting the O'Connors wrong once or twice i didn't have to question there comments once, nothing worse listening to commentators and asking yourself if they're watching the same game as you.

 

How come you can go to watch away games, (non essential travel/stay at home), yet, Radio Leeds commentators can’t?

 

Genuine question, not a dig or criticism whatsoever, but how come you were at the game when we are in a lockdown? I thought all non essential travel wasn't allowed, hence why we currently have no home commentary for away games?

Valid question. As an Associate Director with a business input to the Club we are allowed to go to matches in a business/ work capacity. We are also allowed under EFL protocols to attend, the rule being up to 10 home and 10 away Club officials outside of those on the playing side. There is no hospitality, only cup pf tea and a bun, no guests and we generally are subject to online form filling and temperature checks together with a given time to arrive, for example at VP not allowed in the ground until 20 minutes before ko.
You would have to ask the BBC about the other issue, doesn't seem a problem for such as Match of the Day.

McDonalds is calling, or perhaps a driver for Hermes, assuming he can actually drive, which give his general sense of direction, I doubt.

 

Or Talk Sport/ Sky/ Five Live. Seems Radio Leeds have made a decision that is in the safety of their own employees, which can't be faulted really.

Thanks for your response Roger, I hadn't seen a similar question to my own had been asked. I appreciate you are attending because the current EFL guidelines allow you to, but I find it difficult to understand why it has been allowed. No disrespect at all, but the fact of the matter is the game going ahead is not dependent on associate directors being present so I would argue the EFL have got this one wrong.

Probably but I pay for my own at £125 a pop with a lab in London. Used them for holiday in September when the air bridge to Cyprus was open and several times since. I don't travel on the train, use my own car and abide by the host club / EFL protocols.
