I don't see how Adams gets off scott free. He's the manager! He was brought in to get a tune from this bunch of players. Many who he signed himself. I understand that most of them are not quality players, but it's his job to get them to play to the best of their ability. He's not doing that.
Look at our run of results and tell me that it isn't sackable form. Ole at Man Utd was in a similar position. Not getting players to play for him, and look what happened. And then look what happened last night - they won! Many questioned OGS tactics, and I'm doing the same with Adams. At no point last night, did he identify that Clarke was winning everything in the air, and passed the message onto ROD and the players who were hoofing the ball up to Clarke to mop up. I can't remember any reactive management from Adams during this bad run we're on. His tactics, are akin to us lumping it up the park and hoping someone gets on the end of it. People on here saying he's "a winner" he has a "winning mentality". I don't see how people can continue to say that, when we've won 2 games in 18. If he was brought here because of his "winning mentality", then I'd say he's not living up to his job description!
I don't like the constant merry go round of changing managers, but surely there has to be a point when his tenure is questioned? How many games do we have to draw/lose before it's time to admit that it's not working? I don't think Sparks has the balls to make that decision, and I don't think Rupp wants to be involved full stop. I've lost count the amount of times we've all been waiting for the January transfer window to be the big season changer, and here we are again! The shower we currently have playing for us, were signed in the summer window, when a lot of players were available, and we supposedly had a budget.
The way I see January panning out, is that Rupp isn't going to fund much, if at all, there's going to be a very limited amount of players available, and we'll probably ship out more than we bring in. The idea of bringing in "four quality players to bolster our charge for promotion" I think is total dreamland stuff. And then DA launches an attack on the culture of the club again, and faces the sack or leaves.
Its grim reading I know, and perhaps I'm being overly negative, but in my opinion, I don't see any future hope once January arrives

It is fantastic to hear a more balanced summerisor. Bower saying when it's rubbish and very articulate as well. Wouldn't mind him coming back!

I was reading the transfer forum prior to the game an there was a page or two about how good of a player watt is an that we should be keeping him by all means possible. The first thought to my mind was many on here have short memories, an alas, here we are.
His head has gone thanks to all the transfer talk last year. I called it out when we got battered by Hartlepool an il say it again. All these hollywood passes mean feck all, mainly because most of them go to the opposition but also because no one in this team has any sort of pace whatsoever. He needs benching
Sutton an Songo should be the midfield pairing with Cooke ahead. Cooke has better decision an ball retention than Watt, an he creates a lot more chancesGoose, Inspector, Idlebantam and 2 others like this. -

We’ve lacked winners within our playing staff for many years at this club and we’ve had many managers come and go also missing that mentality.
@Fordy117 might be an eccentric poster, but ask yourself do the real issues lie with a manager speaking what he sees as the truth, or a culture in which this club has operated within for past 7+ years?Stop hovering to collapse... Secondly SM was a good man manager and look where that got him. It’s not enough - you need players to come on the journey with you, players with character. Phil Parkinson had a squad full of them and they weren’t all the most talented, but they were winners. You can’t teach that and it costs you money and/or time. We are now seeing the same results of poor decision making from the club but just have a manager who isn’t afraid to say or show what he thinks.
I’m not saying Adams approach isn’t questionable and will ruffle some feathers. However it’s his style and he makes no secret of it. Players have a choice to get on board or leave. Ask yourself how many you’d be sad to see the back of?Stop hovering to collapse... Click to collapse... Hover to expand... Click to expand... -

I don't think it's Derek Adam's fault entirely, something going on in the background at this club.
Even Jürgen Klopp couldn't get a result with the bag of shite that we have at the moment! We are thick in the doldrums now and we are heading for more decline. The players are useless and need to get their finger out of their arses.
I have zero positivity left for this club. Love City, will still continue to fly over from Belfast to support the club, but I don't expect any great results any time soon. Rupp is a business man who wants to make money, that is why we sell players like Crankshaw, because he gets money from it. Does anyone much know how the 'undisclosed' fee was?
Why do we get players that come into the club, don't produce quality and then want to leave and then they do leave and are better and happier at other clubs? Can't keep blaming managers.
I really think there is something wrong still at this club, I don't trust Rupp, he's a businessman with zero passion for our club.
We sold, Vaughan, Crankshaw, Doyle and Wyke off the top of my head under Rupp's 5 year stint as club owner. Are you telling me he's not made some decent money on the side?
Sparks, don't waste money on a rebrand when we aren't even promotion contenders, do it when we are on the verge of actual success. Rebranding isn't free ahahaha, it will cost money, now isn't the time, doesn't make the team any better, you can paint a turd, but it's still a turd.
Derek, bring in good players and don't sell them or let them be sold by people higher up in the club, stick to your guns and go public if there is anything dodgy going on behind the scenes with Rupp.
Sorry, zero trust for Rupp. RUPP OUT!Dennis, WilsdenBantam, bantamdave41 and 2 others like this. -

Spineless. Aimless. Clueless. What does Adams do with them in training? after years of the same garbage ‘performances we get more if the same. Pathetic Adams. Don’t dare to attempt to say we were hard done by.

That second half was classic Adams. When he has to think on his feet or innovate: he can't. All about the preparation and structure with him. Problem is, aside from Sutton, the players are the same. Like robots. Play to the plan. Pass the same way to the same teammate.
He needed to switch up the formation to try and get us up the pitch and create chances. He did nowt. Of course he'll say "well, we had to play like this because of Tranmere blah blah". Well the result was no shots in the second half.Parader, Bantamsteve, TallinnBantam and 1 other person like this. -
It's becoming more obvious by the week why Adams shirked the challenge of League One football at Morecambe.
Quite simply, he's a MASSIVE DISAPPOINTMENT. He talks utter tripe in his interviews and is tactically CLUELESS.
I'd sack him tomorrow.London BCFC, Bantamsteve, Tony Wilkinson and 1 other person like this.
