Playing bottom of the league so should get a win here, but being a City fan, I’ll mentally prep myself for the probable 2-0 defeat.

Good luck to all the brave 1700 let's hope they see at least a performance
It was a toxic atmosphere at the end of the Tranmere game
Imagine what it could be like today if we repeat that 2nd half performance

Canavan, Sonog'o. Eisa , Gillead, Sutton all ex Scunthorpe players. Any more?
Lets hope the law of the ex strikes today and all 5 score but knowing our guys, they will just roll over for there tummies tickled. It does show that we definately need to widen our recruitment, thank god Turnbull has moved on.

After the debacle of Tuesday night and the decision to constantly launch high balls for Clarke to effortlessly head away or control unchallenged I have done a bit of unpaid consultancy work for Adams.
It took me all of 1 minute(BBC & Wikipedia) to see that Scunthorpe play Taft and Onariase as centre halves
Taft is 6 ft 3 and Onariase is 6ft 2.
Now I’m no expert but I would think repeatedly launching the ball high to our forward(s) Robinson probably, who according to posters on here is anywhere between 4ft 6 and 6ft would seem rather pointless.
I knew before we kicked off on Tuesday that Peter Clarke really really likes heading footballs and yet we didn’t seem to have the ability to alter what we were doing.
If today pans out the same then I genuinely wonder what happens at training all week and why it’s so hard for professional football players and managers to see the blatantly obvious things that fans can see week in week out.
    Prove me wrong Mr Adams.

Just watched the highlights of Scunthorpes last match against Leyton orient 1 - 1 draw at home and orient did have some clear cut chances to win it.

Winds in North Lincolnshire are gusting to 45-50mph and the temperature is probably already peaking at 5C. It should be 30-40mph gusts and 3-4C by kick-off. (I don't know how exposed the ground is. If it's sheltered it might not be too bad at that but it's alway going to feel cold.) Expect an odd sleety shower through the afternoon but mostly cold rain showers, probably light. They will probably turn a bit more wintery later so you might see an odd light snow shower driving back.

Snow was expected to hit down York/Selby/Scunthorpe but Arwen came a bit further west so these areas got sleety rain. Cumbria and Northumberland have had road closures for snow, wind and trees down. Western Peak District probably got the most snow with a bit of drifting on tops. 2000 fans going in very cold rain and wind deserves a win. Enjoy the game!

    Matlock.

Scunthorpe is about as open as you can get, so first day for the extra socks and base layer for me! Biggest danger I remember at Scunthorpe was Olympic size puddles in the car park - so I hope that has been resurfaced. Also roadworks on Motorway before Scunthorpe exit!

The reason we were all happy with them draws against Forest Green and Northampton was because we all knew we'd hammer bottom of the table Scunny. (isn't that what we've been told?)

Post-match we'll only be 3/5/6/9* points off the playoffs. Onwards and upwards.
