It doesn't help that we haven't been able to field a settled side for a while now however that cannot be used as an excuse.
I would say we are 3 decent players and a really short injury list off being auto promotion material.Stop hovering to collapse... Click to collapse... Hover to expand... Click to expand... -

Is it my imagination or have we been doing better against the better sides?
Perhaps it's because we're not a possession-based team, and those teams will give us space to break and attack at pace. They play with confidence, as we saw with Port Vale. The game was super open and either team could have won.
But it doesn't help that so many games are finishing 1-1, whether it's a side at the bottom sitting back and not falling into our traps or decent teams playing us at our own game. 4 successive 1-1 draws, and 6 draws from the last 8 in all competitions.
I can see why people are looking at that and thinking that we're close to going on a run of form, but the draws aren't uniform. While we drew with a top side yesterday, which is decent, we also drew with Exeter in the cup and they were not decent.
It doesn't mean anything that teams are saying we look good and will be up there, all that matters is results, and if we keep drawing we will slide DOWN the table, not up. -

As a player that is utilised in the forward areas his numbers are generally terrible and at a guess I'd put money that they were worse than a lot of full backs across the division.
That's very poor from a player that's either been stationed on the right wing or tasked with playing centrally just behind the forward. -

If you're allergic to anything within 20 yards of the opposition penalty area you aren't going to be the one missing the chances. -

Having seen both challenges, Threlkeld was very lucky to still be on the field. The second (in real time) looked bad enough to be a yellow and the first could easily have been a straight red. Anyone else on the field committing that second foul would have been booked.

I wonder if the 4th official was pointing that out to Adams just before Adams got his yellow card. At least the ref was consistent with those decisions.

Great, supports to the letter why the ref didn’t book him! -

If his confidence has been poor for the last 5 year then possibly you have a point but if that really was the case you'd be swerving the signing by a mile anyway. -
Your point was that he wasn’t booked because their player - when you slowed down the replay - was starting to go down/similar and there wasn’t much contact made.
The part of the laws I quoted shows you can commit fouls and indeed be booked (or indeed even sent off) without making much, if any, contact.
Threlkeld slid in, may have largely missed but still committed the foul. Given the position on the field and the force of the attempted tackle, my point is he was extremely fortunate not to be booked again. -
