Honestly, i sometimes wonder myself what game some people watch. You'd think Bolton had held on a for well deserved point reading some comments on here. I guess the views of Simon Parker, Ian Evatt, even our own Mark Trueman don't count. If anyone thinks Bolton were hanging on then they should go watch another sport because football is wasted on them.

 

Or in Kieran Lee's case because he hadn't madean appearance all season and wasn't likely to play? Or in MJ Williams case because he couldn't get in the Blackpool side? Or in isgroves case because promoted Swindon decided they could do better? Or in Afolayans case because he hadn't made a senior appearance for his parent club?

And Antoni Sarcevic? A 28 year old that's spent his entire career in the bottom two divisions and was in and out of a League two Plymouth side last year?

It's not love, you're right but it's almost certainly not for megabucks either when you consider the full picture and not just look at the names.

That would be too many changes for me. Need to drop them in and out one or two at a time.

As an example, Clarke did fairly well in one of those three positions then got injured and has found its not easy to get back up to speed. If we drop in several players who've hardly played we will be well off the pace, not to mention they won't know how to play together!

 

I know Bolton dominated midfield for 80 minutes but for the last ten they were kicking it anywhere

 

Not to mention what happened after we scored and where the ball was at the end of the match!

That doesn't make sense Park. They scored in the 83rd minute.

 

I'm up for debate as much as anyone but sometimes its hard not to shake your head. I should have left the Bolton debate alone ages ago, i just get frustrated when i see comment attributed to the debate that isn't true.

 

In the second half, they battered us and must have gone home wondering how they didn't win. However, in the cold light of day, our goalie made one good save then they scored a goal that had a large slice of fortune. Their goalie then had to make a good save before we scored a goal that 2 goalies wouldn't have stopped. Look at how our defence coped then think back to November.

 

I was making an observation re Parks comment, not how our defence has improved beyond recognition since Nov

 

I am not debating about their overall dominance of the midfield that was plain to see but equally plain to see how they were struggling under pressure in the last 10 which produced a goal and an attempt that deserved one.

 

Realise that Kevin. Think that their CBs will be on a lot higher wage than our younger ones(much younger in Paudie's case) so that makes the signing of Canavan look like a good move(almost ha ha)

 

Tough one to call, instincts are telling me it could be another draw.

Totally agree. I don't think Doyle adds anything to a "team" performance when he's shackled properly whereas both Rowe & Cook can add something in holding the ball up and not having it ping back. I certainly wouldn;t swap eithet to have Doyle back. Or Vaughan (wo is injured and out for the season !!)
