We can blame them as much as we like but the players get off too lightly these days they are responsible for their own performances. If they have taken their foot off the gas once safe to protect them selves for a move I'm not sure how you can change that mindset. You could drop them but if the players that would be coming in aren't up to it essentially you end up with the same result which is poor performances.

 

If this had been a normal season this last game would have seen massive traveling support, even in the position we are currently in.

Nice weekend by the sea spoilt by the football but would have seen tickets sold out ages ago.

Instead it has taken a Bolton fan to start the thread due to lack of interest.

 

I think I trust Turnbull's judgement but it's how the management use any new signings. Personally I won't be happy if we play with only one up top when we play at home, whoever the manager is.

 

The Morecombe fans will be saying, Bradford have nothing to lose the result doesn't matter their under no pressure so we'll have to be at our best, how many times have we said that in the past and it turned out to be true.
I'm with you I want us to win but wouldn't be disappointed if we lost and that kept Bolton down.

 

The Radio Leeds end of season review on Wednesday should be a good listen.

End of season- shit again

 

Morecambe making the playoffs and almost getting automatic promotion shows probably what Derek Adams strengths are. T&S are probably good coaches but that isn't enough, it's about man/player management. Morecambe are a small club but Adams has changed the mentality of the club, from the top down to the playing squad.
We have all bad mouthed our players, me as much as any body , and quite rightly so but man for man I would say that over the whole squad ability wise we have better players but it's getting the right reaction from the players. That is why I would replace Trueman and Sellers now, they haven't got the experience to do that, I can't imagine them getting the right reaction from the players.
Either get rid now or bring in someone experienced to work with them, which I can't see happening. Whatever happens the squad needs a big overhaul.

 

Alternatively, the team sheet given to the media may have been wrong. I know things aren't great but this seems a ridiculous conspiracy theory - last game of the season, nothing to play for, Wood clearly on his way - why the hell would Wood or his team mates care whether he was playing or not?

 

I'd take a defeat now if it stopped Notlob getting promoted

 

They picked a young upcoming manager with promotion already on his CV and backed him, If they go up they deserve it

 

Are we really that desperate that we want the likes of those footballing Giants Salford and Bolton to be promoted so our task of winning promotion next season might be easier.

Sikora looks good so far comfortable on the ball and doesn’t look like he’s running in treacle like the O’Connors, as usual Kiwomya takes it to far and compares him to Dean Richards. Nothing like getting carried away...

 

Its a terrible league and Morecambe look pretty poor. Sadly, they're still much better than us.

This group of players , are way offf being anything other than lower mid table in league 2, again not a shot on target, despite 70% possesion and 7 attempts . Thank god the season is done, after the last few weeks , all the out of contract can go for me and take Evans with them.

 

Looking at our managers faces I think they know their times up now....fingers crossed..

 

I do have a bit of sympathy for the two managers, they managed to get the player wining by hook or by crook and if that had carried on and we had somehow made the playoffs , they would have been proclaimed as miracle workers , after the start we made. Once safety was achieved this bunch of players have performed like a wet fart. It stinks , is bloody uncomfortable and leaves you feeling totally embarrased.

 

And the sad thing is, someone probably had to give Rupp a nudge and tell him what was going on in January. As long as we've got a disinterested chairman at the helm, we're going nowhere but mid table.

 

If the club make a statement regarding their intentions for next season I hope they state their aim is promotion NOT the playoffs. The fans need to see a can do attitude from the club. We should start by signing a CM player who is the type of player we can make captain. If not I would make Canavan the captain rather than Paudie. I am hoping ROD will be gone.
