FCD getting a bit of criticism but Mansfield are very good down that side and will give plenty more full backs trouble.

Id have to see it again. I saw 1 replay where I thought he won the ball, but his foot was high. FCD is a bit of a liability with rash challenges - I don't think he's dirty, just rash and naive.

 

I think you tell it as you see it, not the same at all.

 

How anyone could knock this game is beyond me Steve, two teams going hammer and tong to get a result, Vernam coming into his own second half and had their full back on toast.

 

In these lot and Exeter, we've played two teams who will probably be in the Top 7. The fact we've got 4 points and dismissed the dark horses of Stevenage is very promising.

We simply needed brawn as well as brains as that brings a far more mentally positive attitude. Hence, why we are coming back from setbacks.

 

It's the kind of challenge that would have been unworthy of comment 20 years ago but is now often seen as endangering an opponent, even if you win the ball.

 

Hugely impressive win. Different type of performance from Tuesday but we're showing we're capable of winning in different ways which is the hallmark of a good side. We'd have lost that 3-0 last season no question.

Hope Cooke was just tired because we're looking a bit threadbare atm and he's so important for us. Class again today.

 

Him and Vernham seem to be forming a proper partnership down that side been impressed with Ridehalgh so far Vernham has been a revelation though. We look so much better going forward none of the passing sideways for passing sake we are direct and going at teams with power and pace very impressive so far. Crankshaws had 2 good cameos now as well.

They look a reasonable side full of energy and should be up the right end of the table.

Probably just me but I wish O'Donnell wouldn't leave ALL the defending to the guys in front of him, I fear we'll ship a fair few goals this season, the players look too apprehensive sometimes wondering where he is...

 

Good that we have no mid week fixture. All the lads have given their all in each of the 5 games so far over a short spell. Also gives Adams a chance to assess fitness and injuries, and look to see where we might need to bring in reinforcements until January

30 weeks pregnant daughter visiting next weekend so taking no chances before that.
