Here's an article about DMH being released by the club in April with SMc saying he might sign him again in the summer when the situation was clearer

    https://www.thetelegraphandargus.co.uk/sport/18441774.released-winger-mottley-henry-still-bradford-citys-plans/

Here's another article a few months later about SMc signing DMH on a new contract and how he had always wanted to bring DMH back to VP.

    https://www.thetelegraphandargus.co.uk/sport/18591650.mottley-henry-signs-new-deal-bradford-city/

I guess it must have all been down to somebody other than the manager to bring DMH back to VP and SMc was just misquoted by Parker!

Not for me to answer that one. Ask JR or Ryan.

Thanks for the honest appraisal. The only thing that I could add, is the EFL requirement for ‘home developed players’ to be part of the squad and that DMH fitted that category.

I think most of us would like to ask JR. His ‘anonymity’ just feeds the feelings of abandonment and that the club is being run by someone who has clearly lost the necessary energy to drive it forward.

Practically every fan on here has offered an opinion Roger. You eloquently offered an insight regarding the merits, or not, of DMH earlier, so come on, be interesting to hear your take on whether McCall should be given more time.

I doubt JR would give me his views. I remember during McCall's first spell as manager, ML and JR disagreed about whether to sack him at one point. JR persuaded ML to give him more time, however, eventually came to the same conclusion that ML had come to much earlier, that McCall just would not cut it to be a successful manager

Stuart wanted to sign Messi but was told he had to sign DMH.

I know that's ridiculous, but obviously my first post wasn't sarcastic enough!

OK, just to be clear - I am clearly not being serious and was referencing the debate from last week(?) on here where, in the usual excuse making session for him, posters on here were saying players McCall chose to re-sign could not be classed as his signings.

Your sarcasm was clearly lost on most of us and thanks for making that clear now.

In Ryan’s current capacity surely he isn’t deciding on if the manager is fired or not?

Stuart continually offers up the reason for bringing him on as being to "use his pace with balls over the top". Not once in any appearance this season has he made a telling contribution, no sorry, any contribution to the match. The quote from Parky in WW's post rings absolutely true with me. He doesn't know where he should be on the pitch and can often be found calling for the ball when he's being marked.

We've all been there when a lad who normally comes to training every week but is nowhere near good enough, gets a start because you're short. The regular lads are either pis&*d from the night before, ignoring the phone or telling the missus to answer the door and say they've got flu. It's a cold, wet, December morning on a bog of a pitch. The winds howling and the sleet falling, yet the stand in player with the latest orange adidas boots and gloves, comes off after 90 minutes play, with the cleanest kit of all 22 players and the ref. Its embarrassing how so out of place he looks on the pitch and absolutely staggering that McCall brings him on, effectively making us a man short.

It's blindingly obvious that Stuart seems to have been in some sort of time warp between his first and current spell. Not knowing about Evans and the re-signing of DMH because he had pace when he was young. He is so out of touch that its not funny anymore.

May I suggest using better sarcasm, it's quite difficult at the best of times with the intelligence of posters on here.

Do you take the minutes at meeting attend ;)you encapsulate the interview perfectly, it was a difficult one for Stuart but most of what he said was fair comment, unfortunatly he has brought most of our current problems on himself not the injuries of course but the squad was lacking in certain areas.
One minute he says he prefers not to go for free agents because it could be weeks before their match fit then says he brought Samuel's off because of exhaustion and that was always going to be the plan with both him and Clarke, the reason Samuel's was only doing 60 minutes was because he has played so little football.
He was correct in saying we need bodies back and quickly, it makes a mockery of still having salary cap money left in the locker, I want to see him pick the strongest 11 against Oldham it gives our walking wounded another week to get back.
Looking at the snippet on Sky Sports video we didnt deserve to lose that game but we have to stop conceding self piece sloppy goals, watching the clip again I cant blame O'Donnell for not coming from the cross, loads of traffic in there and a great delivery.

He said the same last night about Samuels. We need balls over the top for him to get onto with his pace and get in behind.
What is our approach to get those balls fed through? It’s ok saying he has pace but we need to utilise it.

Going by his latest, rare T&A interview, I’d rather he stay quiet. No wonder we’re in such a mess.

I imagine he said ask Ryan as Ryan can get the answer.

Thing is, I haven't seen any indication whatsoever that DMH has real pace. I think Tyler French looks our quickest player. Having said that French infuriates me when defending. He always seems to show his man inside and then loses him.
