    Absolutely no idea.
I don't think you can blame Canavan there. He has escorted the guy almost to the goal line. I wouldn't want him to be diving in unnecessarily there and risking giving away a pen. He has done his job and has every right to expect his keeper to stop that in his sleep.

If ROD had just stood up the first goal would have not gone in.
The second he went down like the titanic.
Agree about the tactics side of your post but you cannot just ignore rank bad goalkeeping.

It looked different at the game. Their striker ghosts past Canavan and he has to share some of the blame for letting the striker get to the ball. He moved far too slow and should not let him get a shot off. Same for the second goal, O'Donnell must do better but again Canavan lets him get a shot off by turning himself inside out against what was a pretty ungainly striker.

As he was forced out to the line, I was thinking, well he's not going to score from there. Ooops.

To me he's just one of eleven players that didn't get the job done

I don't see the big deal you can say the same about any of them they all made big errors but to blame only the keeper is preschool understand of football

To be fair he’s always been one bad game away from an avalanche of criticism. No matter what he does he won’t convince his detractors that he should be the number 1. Personally I prefer Hornby and as long as he’s given a fair crack of the whip, I’m happy to go with Adams choice as he sees them both everyday. If he’s going to stick with ROD, then it begs the question why they didn’t go out and sign someone to challenge ROD rather than offering a new deal to someone he doesn’t have faith in.

Off the bat I prefer ROD and I'm backed by the gaffer, at this point. Yesterday was a collective failure both in terms of on and off the field. That said, 1 game. Perspective.
The narrow format yesterday. The inability to hold up the ball. Squeeze Cooke. Connect the isolated Cook was deserving of critique?
Yesterday asked questions of BCFC generally, from back to front. Our opponents of tomorrow will have taken note. Do you think our opponents will have highlighted ROD as the key opponent to unlocking us?

As for going out and getting someone to challenge ROD. surely we have that it the train set? And that option could well be viable in terms of ££ as illustrated by Adams recent interview. Cash. Its tight. Expectations are high as a fanbase (citing truly beyond our ability) but the reality is we have purchased right here from the khazi fishball of medioucum. ROD an example of medioucum?

As for ROD. I get his limitations. But we are engaged in 4th division football.

I agree Jackett did a job on us and stifled our play. Let’s hope unlike last season under T & S, Adams has an effective plan B that stops us becoming predictable and less likely to go on winless runs. In terms of ROD and Hornby, the whole debate has been done to death without a clear winner. It’ll be interesting to see if as Songo’O said when signing, about playing well and not knowing if you’d be in the team next week, applies to the keeper position too. In my opinion, a change of keepers bringing Hornby in is less likely to upset the cohesion of the defensive unit (quite the contrary), compared to a change say at CH or LB.

As you say, it’s one game and in old Bradford City money you wouldn’t expect any changes but under Adams, who knows?

Sorry Offcomedun but I don't think Canavan has done his job. The attacker is almost to the 6 yard box. If he doesn't shoot he squares it or drives it into the 6 yard box. He needs to do more than escort him to the line. He has to block that ball

THe defeat was down to good management by Orient. Having watched his team beaten by Harrogate and knowing we play a similar style he changed the way they played to beat us,

Some are saying that both keepers are alike and that we need a new keeper, This is rubbish because Hornby is a far better keeper in all areas, He just needs games and will be a good keeper, Adams with his record often grinded out draws or 1-0 wins at times when not playing well but that is impossible with a dodgy keeper who lets goals in that although tough should be saved, Hornby watching the displays by ROD must be wondering how he gets first choice over him

Worryingly it was the same team that started against Mansfield and had done so well. Also the first game this season (cup and league) where we haven't competed and deserved the loss. I think as far as Adams is concerned no player can expect to be an automatic choice, hopefully Saturday is a one off but it showed that if you concentrate on matching us physically and shut down Callum Cooke there are weaknesses there.

Canavan pushes him out into a position even Messi would struggle to score from, and does this without diving in and giving away a penalty.

Why would he commit to a tackle there ? Its not a dangerous position so close to the line, but it is dangerous for giving away a penalty, at worst he expects a cross to come in that David Blunkett would have seen and there appear to he little other danger in the box.

It's a one in a hundred shot that 99 times skews off and ends up in the stands, and had that not gone in its a different game.

No blame on canavan for me, but o'donnells only defense is the speed of the ball. As we have seen with all the other worldies he let's in, his reactions are slow

He doesn't push him into that position, the striker goes past hence being able to get a shot off. I know ROD gets a lot of stick but Canavans job is to stop the striker either getting a shot off or stopping the other option of a cross into the six yard box. He does neither, but that doesn't fit the narrative of knocking ROD for everything.
