Having seen some of the players social media think they may have travelled down on Friday.

 

Time spent travelling to work is still work in the same way a salesperson driving to appointments is still working. However, I agree they didn’t do enough ‘work’ within the 90 minutes that 700 people paid to watch. Can I have my money back ?

 

Don’t sign some more players, the results dry up and you can forget about a lot of those pay on the gate punters. Get the right players in and it makes the prospect of L1 and Rupp being able to sell less likely.

 

Has the owner been to a game this season? He lives in Germany not Mars.

Maybe, we are trying to pay off his loan to the club. I don’t know but I wouldn’t be disappointed. It’s to be expected when you have a shite owner.

 

ROD wasn’t to blame for yesterday’s result, however my initial reaction to the first goal was he shouldn’t be scoring from there. For me, the reality is we are in L.2 and keepers at our level will concede goals that you expect those at a higher level will save.

In general Hornby remains my preferred no.1. ROD fills me with fear on crosses, there were a couple yesterday which he either didn’t come when should have or flapped when should have been stronger, fortunately none resulted in a goal. That said from the season so far ROD hasn’t really put a foot wrong so keeps the shirt on merit, however I’d like to see Hornby play on Tuesday at least and see if he keeps the form we saw from him last season.

 

Those goals look bad. The commentators said the first goal was a worldie…. My bum it was savable.

 

Sparks has been completely upfront about the fact promotion is the aim this season and anything less isn't good enough. He's brought in the man he believes can achieve that, and that man thinks we need a couple more in before the window closes, but it seems he is being told finances only stretch to one more coming in. I hope Adams publicly stating that yesterday leads to further funds being made available. I get that Sparks is trying to run a tight ship and doesn't want us to live beyond our means, but we aren't talking mega bucks here and it would be madness to not give Adams access to the tools he needs to do his job.

 

My only gripe with ROD as well as his hesitancy at crosses is he tends to Palm the ball back into the danger area rather than catch it or see it over the bar he did it again yesterday doesn't breed confidence in his defenders
Prefer SH but then again I am not the manager

 

For balance, how much of a foot has he had to put wrong!

Exeter, minimal shots to defend.
Three saves v Oldham
Two saves in the first half against Stevenage/ non in second half
Mansfield crucially two simple catches resulting in the ball spilling , fortunately forwards were slow to react.

The jury is out for yesterday for me, I need another look.

So in reality he hasn’t had that much to do…..but the two errors at Mansfield were glossed over because we won.

No secret , I wanted Hornby as no 1 , but happy with Adams choice, but questions are bound to be asked if he was deemed at fault for yesterday? ( The whole team were below par , in all honesty), if he has made keeping errors then Adams will act.

 

I wonder if Adams was alluding to our new physio department who looked at player stats and suggested a break would do them good? Doesn’t bode well if the club have invested in this area and he won’t listen to what they say. That said, he knows what he’s doing so we can only trust him to do it his way.

You only have to watch the highlights of their midweek game to see what Harrogate did to Orient. I did and pointed it out on Thursday. Orient did exactly the same , to the script, to us.

We tried to play, they pressed us on the middle of the field whereas other teams have sat back and let us play. From that point it was a good move for them, I thought we would have done the same…shows how wrong you can be?

 

I'm also struggling to get my head round how a couple of days of lighter training sessions at that start of last week had such a negative impact. All that fitness work done in preseason plus the sharpness and extra fitness we've picked up in the games so far surely doesn't just vanish overnight does it?

That's where we went wrong yesterday......played only 9 minutes (if that tbh)

 

When we win he sits there sulking at being proved wrong because we have shown quality, when we lose he's like that kid from willy wonka eying up the sweets.

He just loves to wallow in others being wrong or suffering.

It's called schadenfreude and is one of the worst personality traits that humans have

 

I see that Josh Wright on Instagram was gloating at us yesterday. What a total bum that guy is.

 

The fans backed the club this season, and then some!
The club cut the playing budget to cut costs.
But if Sparks and Rupp dont back Adams to sort out the squad then we will be spending some more quality time in the khazi league with no-one else to blame.
