I understand perfectly what you are saying. However Corporate bodies are not universally adopting this approach. Retail, hospitality, transport, banking and a number of other areas will continue to operate.
I agree it is up to the individual to respond in the way they think is appropriate and if in work, then the manner that their employers think fit.

The A658 derby? The Runway derby? (The A658 connecting Bradford and Harrogate runs under the main runway at Leeds-Bradford Airport).

Shame the players misunderstood and thought the dispensation started 4 days earlier.

Naturally. They continuously launch balls into the box and for obvious reason will do it even more against us.

My two teenage daughters are desperate for some retail therapy. So, they've asked me to take them to Harrogate.
Whilst they're busy helping Britain's retail establishments recover, I'm going to wander down to the ground and see if I can catch a sneak at my first live game of the season.

The thing is, the man himself said he didn't want a state funeral or any fuss and wanted everything to be low key. Two minute silence on Saturday, another minute on Tuesday and no doubtedly another one this Saturday, plus the whole sporting calendar being rearranged to avoid it happening at the same time as his funeral. Quite frankly, I think he'd actually be quite embarrassed by what's happening.

I see that a certain well known Fish and Chip chain has slots on it’s website for ‘click and collect’ at the appointed time. They are not closing, say from 2.00 pm to 4.00 pm as a mark of respect! It isn’t ‘essential to eat at those times and is a business decision to operate. Either the whole country (including all elements of Corporate life) grinds to an absolute standstill, or not. They could have held a two minute silence (if necessary). This is simply ‘cherry picking’ of a ripe target and has been suggested to me as tokenism.

I suspect that if we weren't living in the times we are then businesses would shut.
But Saturday is probably going to be a very busy day for a lot of businesses who've just reopened after months so need to be open and taking money.
I think most clubs have moved kick offs for the same reason. They want the biggest audience they can get.

Said with such authority that I'm almost convinced. Is this a proposal or a fact? ;)

Pip is probably laughing at all the disruption he's caused.

I met him over here in Estonia when I was representing the Estonian Cricket Association. We had a quick chat about our qualifying group for the ICC Championships, and how many different countries are represented. He asked if we'd played Afghanistan yet, and remarked, "watch out, they bowl with hand grenades".

Er, it's 19 miles away by road. The nearest club to us in Lg 2. I would call it a local derby. Simps.

From watching Police Interceptors, it seems the main link is the 'scuffers' travelling from Bradford to Posh Harrogate to rape, rob and pillage the people of the Valley Gardens area of the town.
