You’re right, we seem to be the only ‘big’ club who spends several seasons in the bottom league. Many clubs as big if not bigger have been down here but it’s almost always only for 1 season.

 

At this point I am more than happy to just blanket release anyone signed by Edin. They might be good players but we're probably in double figures of the amount of false dawns we've had with them all, where they seemed to have turned it around, only to inevitably revert to type and look like shit again pretty much the next game usually. How long do we persist with players who formed part of the absolute worst city side I have seen in living memory (L1 relegation side).

I'd still keep Wood if the money was right. In a decent back 4 I think he'd improve defensively and going forward he still gets in better positions than any of our left wingers to date.

Look at today when he burst through the middle and had a shot. OK, it ended up as nothing but I don't remember Billy Clarke carrying the ball 10 or 15 yards and creating a chance.

Not sure what's happened to Clarke. One of his attributes used to be ball retention but these last few months he can't trap a bag of cement and even when he does have enough space to finally get it under control he tends to find the opposition with a sloppy or poor pass.

It's definitely proven to be a poor signing, regardless of whatever money he's on.

Suppose it would but it’s all hypothetical as he’d never come back. More chance of him taking the Harrogate job if it was available.

 

Something seems amiss. To not warm up at all was unprofessional unless they told him he wasn’t going on. He won’t hang around if T & S insist on going 1 up top. I’m more concerned that the managers don’t seem to have any attacking attributes at all. No set pieces, no variation at corners, can’t seem to play 2 up front from the off. They’re learning but need to learn fast.

They’re obviously good at FIFA with the stupid different formations. Just play 4-4-2 or 4-3-3 , none of this crap 3-3-2-1-1 nonsense

 

As I said previously, we now have more questions than answers and the whole management thing needs re-visiting because the Club and the fans need to see a solid foundation for next season.
