No he wont be and will know these past 2 games are a massive opportunity missed - but have to repeat we have a mid table team at best. There was always going to be a LOT of work to do this summer (whichever division we are in) but lets be realistic, if we did go up we would be looking at a total change to be able to compete so perhaps its a blessing in disguise. We have to put together a squad that can go for automatic promotion next season and with some style as hopefully the fans will be back in the stadium and they wont put up with the way we have been playing.
Daft thing is we are still in with a chance of the play offs, which in many ways is disguising the poor performances we are putting in - just hope Turnbull is working hard behind the scenes (hear he is) as we HAVE to get it right before we go again next season

 

To be honest I thought once we equilised there were only one winner, we were the team with all the pressure but once again a pretty simple ball out wide their lad goes at Cousin-Dawson drops his shoulder and beats O'Donnell completely with a well placed strike into his far corner, questions were asked when the lad Hornby was dropped, but IMO more questions need asking of why as many thought one was a better keeper at commanding his box and the other was possibly a better shot stopper, O'Donnell has hardly been convincing since his return.

 

Yeah but his boots are clean...spends most of the time wiping them or kicking the goalpost..
Lost count these last 3 games of how many times i've shouted at the telly to all of them "stop fannying about" ..

T & S haven’t convinced since getting the job and new contracts.

Massive mistake yet again by Sparks with managers and their contract situation. Yes, they deserved a contract but surely it should’ve been until the end of the season and review.

 

You genuinely haven’t missed anything, even when we were on our unbeaten streak games were tight drab affairs. It’s why I question how they’d have got on with fans in the ground because I see huge similarities on how we played under Bowyer, valley parade was like a morgue even after wins. Football more than ever before is an entertainment sport as after the last year people will think life’s to short to sit freezing my arse off watching this shite.

 

We held all the cards for once, a simple deal until the end of the season and if they impress the job is theirs. Nobody could have thought that was a bad idea surely?

No they havent Fordy - in fairness to Ryan I think it was totally right to offer T&S what were effectively 16 month contracts based on the incredible turn round of results they fashioned when he made this decision and whilst I dont have any figures I understand they are not amounts that would cripple the club

Just finishing watching and that was poor, really poor, and for me that sits solely on the management teams shoulder.

The first half was terrible and continued to be so until the changes were made on 70 minutes. SEVENTY MINUTES!! It was evident on 50mins nothing was going to change from the dross produced in the first 45 so why the hell did T&S wait another 20mins to do anything?? Inexcusable IMO.

Grimsby, Crawley and Harrogate have all easily out thought regardless of the result and we’ve shown little quality in some of the other games around the same time. Significant improvements need to be made.

And what about Danny Rowe? Is there more to this??

 

To be fair Dave Harrogate should have had the game sewn up by the time we equalised, we could have no complaints if they had been 3 up by that stage. I think Trueman and Sellars have done well with whats at their disposal but their luck bottomed out when Cooke got injured and they knew it. The rest of the squad is failry ordinary, this strange notion that somehow they tied the shackles tight on the team and that we could 'just go for it' is quite amusing. This screaming for 4-4-2, stick Vernam and Crankshaw wide and that we would turn into a promotion team, do me a favour. We stuck with 4-2-3-1 for so long because its what suited this squad best, just happened to be that the one player we could ill afford to lose picked up an injury.
As Grimsby showed against us and today against Bolton there is little to choose between virtually everyone in this division. Next season we need to lay down a marker to show we are the difference and that will take a big summer transfer window.

 

PP could only even get us out of league 2. Higher levels are beyond him. He couldn’t even get Sunderland out of league 1 and he’s failed at every Championship job he’s had.

 

Yet another lame effort, following on from grimsby/stevenage/crawley and now a harrogate team that hadn't won in seven.
Glad i missed it.
Lot of work to do in the summer, our January transfer window did not help us much(cannavan/cook).
Cook will probably be off back to mansfield or a team that likes to play two up top.
Got to give T&S time to fail but City need to wind back any talk of going for promotion next season as they dont look anywhere near good enough.

ps congrats to harrogate for doing the double over City.

I’m sorry but for a club like Bradford City in league 2 there has to be instant results. We shouldn’t be having things like a 5 year plan to get out of the basement league.
The last 4 or 5 seasons have been complete failure and needs immediate resolution next season.
There’s no room for happy clappers just ecstatic to exist.

 

Trueman has confirmed that Canavan is out for the season.

 

Along with the playing department, I hope there's a clear out of the fitness and medical department too.

 

Thats been an issue ever since Allamby went, we went from guys playing 50 odd game seasons and being largely fine to this

 

I think senior players like Watt need to look at themselves, promised so much but his fitness levels and desire of late have been terrible, our midfield has not done enough collectively, very little contribution in terms of goals. I hope this is where we strengthen in the summer, try keep hold of cook, and get two decent full backs in not a rookie and the regressing Connor wood.

T&S deserve a crack next time, they are young and still learning. What’s the alternative, another has-been like Bowyer or McCall, no thanks.
