Michael Flynn and Gary jones combo please. Proper football people with an affiliation with the club and fans. Someone that you know will take every point lost to heart. Someone to really galvanize the fans and players is what’s needed. I haven’t yet called for adams to be sacked but this just takes the biscuit. Unfortunately it’s 2 weeks too late now the window is closed, and we have what we have until the end of the season. Get someone in now, assess the current squad where we have an opportunity for a new man to put his stamp on the team in the summer. Please do not give adams the summer to rebuild. He doesn’t have the personality or the skill set to manage Bradford city, and the expectation that comes with it.

 

Agree with this. Today we were unlucky initially. The problem is that Adams has run out of goodwill following a string of like about 20 awful games.

 

But but but he got Morecambe promoted blah blah blah. The writing has been on the wall for this club and Adams for ages, all this bollocks about giving him next season. Only problem is if/when we do get rid of him the same problems above him still remain. An owner with zero interest and a CEO who would never have got the job if Rupp and Rhodes hadn't been here.

Due to working nights I never even realised we were playing and only just seen the result. Usually I'd be annoyed at missing a game but I've literally zero interest right now.

I hope Sparks has heard that interview, it was clearly aimed at him, and fires him before he has chance to step foot in Valley Parade or Rawdon Meadows again

I think he is bullying Mr Sparks into not sacking him that interview and the recent run of form is enough to prove him wrong

Sorry mate but that's bollocks. How the hell are we a toxic fanbase? Last Wednesday was the first time I have heard the fans show their frustration towards DA in a game-granted I don't travel as much these days. And we had every right to as well it was dire.

If he is calling out the fans as the problem then he needs sectioning tonight.

Dare I say we were the better side until they got their fluke/deflected goal, we tried to get back into the game and over committed Diamond winning the ball in midfield and broke away to score the second that killed the game.
Adams didn't help himself with his subs, as I say we were creating chances both Cook and Elliott doing well, Adams said Elliott was getting a bit leggy so made the change bringing Delfouneso on, the Cooke change was because his legs had gone so he brought Robinson on a strange one as we were still very much in the game and had the likes of Gilliead, Sutton and Daly all better midfield options on the bench, once we went 2 - 0 down the game was over.
Here is his post match interview I think he has some valid points their keeper was MOTM for them once again we fail to put good chances away they got a lucky break with their first goal, but overall he does himself no favours with other comments, other managers won't take the job as they know the task in hand, I think that applies to any club unfortunately when a club that can draw 12 to15,000+ for home games the task is much harder, he talks about fans having got managers fired in the past, no managers results have done that, and he still believes we have a chance of a top 7 finish.

Only my opinion but some of the comments on Radio Leeds after the game were very relevant today.
Rational supporters were saying its got to a stage where its impossible now to know who is responsible, who to blame, who to trust to turn this shambles round. Morais again spoke a lot of sense and has a good empathy with the fans frustrations whilst having that bit more insight as a player at the club.
Ultimately we are crying out for someone to galvanise the situation and provide some hope but again, right now no one is stepping up to the plate

 

I don’t understand a person with your intelligence why you are finding the situation with Adams so difficult to understand?

Ok, it’s like this, if we hired Steve Evans then more than likely you would be against him because you don’t like him and he doesn’t connect with the fans.

Right now Adams isn’t liked by the Bradford City fans and has no connection with us. He was brought in to take us up that I feel Steve Evans would do a better job. He can’t get back to back wins and his football is utter dire. He has come in not even caring about the fans and his interviews are embarrassing.

Bradford City is a club that’s for the community. It’s a club that’s been through a lot in its history and what a club like this needs as a MINIMUM is a manager that can at least connect with its supporters. Think of a Klopp at Liverpool, an Ainsworrh at Wycombe, a Ferguson at Peterborough for example. Managers need to do more at clubs like Bradford City.

@Bronco said you would have thought Sparks did his diligence on Adams and recruitment but it seems he didn’t do it on what the club really needs and that’s because he is a novice CEO that shouldn’t be in the position. The club is now going backwards and to move forwards we need Adams to go ASAP before fans vote massively with their feet which will happen because we don’t like Adams! It’s over!

Surely as a Bradford City fan you can see what football is about now in 2022 and that sometimes a manager is just the wrong fit for a football club no matter what they have or has happened before.

 

True Dave but i would say its far from an easy call - there are the financial implications and the fact you make that it would be yet another manager. It also would be another very difficult marker on RS copybook.
But when there no improvement, no progress and growing divide with a large bulk of the fans (and possibly players) a decision is looming ever closer.

We both know there are no guarantees in football and Adams is not alone as the problem, but unless things change quickly I can only see the current situation deteriorating further

Think things are changing slightly General. In yesterday's local paper Weaver was very critical, saying a number of the squad are not up to L2 standard, plus they lost Armstrong back to the Makems and seem to have signed one or two on the cheap who are surplus elsewhere in L2. On top of that Rory is back after a long layoff and they're shipping goals. Good time to play them hopefully, especially if our next four results are wins!!
