Ok, I've not replied to you before but will this time and let's see if we can have a constructive discussion.

The problem as I see it @wetherbywhaler is that Ryan started the season saying "promotion is the aim", now of course probably half the teams in this league say the same thing, but when the CEO says it so loudly, we (I?) listen because we're supposed to, right?

If Ryan had said "we want to aim for promotion but realise this may be a transition season as Derek moulds and develops the squad", I would have been "OK, I get that, Derek has a good record, let's get behind this"

So, you say calm down but the CEO has raised expectations, and then the Manager has raised expectations but then the manager also talks about all these nebulous "issues" and "problems" and 7 months down the line doesn't seem to be solving them because he's still going on about them.

Then frankly we haven't played well enough to win a string of games - I'm being generous probably when I think of a string as 3 or 4. A good start because we had an early settled squad and we got the jump on others and we're cohesive and won games but since then we've been worked out and the manager appears unable to make changes during the game that result in us coming from behind.

So, "calming down" is not my problem, I was all for calm! The CEO and manager raised expectations and they're not living up to them and frankly the manager is blaming everyone but himself!

He's not wrong, though. The way this club has been run has been embarrassing and amateurish.

You can try and find fault in everything Derek says, but he's right about the running of the club. It's not been good enough whether he stays or goes.

Bollocks. If there’s one contingent that’s beyond blame, its the fans. We’ve been served up shite, mediocrity, false promises, directionless and ambitionless crap and seen the club regress year on year. Still, 15k turn up at home and we take the divisions biggest away following every week. We very rarely give the players grief. Other clubs fans turn much more quickly and much more aggressively, without having to endure a fraction of what we do.

The patience and belief of this fan base has been taken for granted for far too long. Enough is enough. Either we want to be a proper football club, that not only competes, but looks to engage the likes of Sutton, Harrogate, Barrow with the determination and suitable embarrassment to do something about the fact that we’re playing (and losing to them) in this league, or we don’t.

 

Christ you'd think it was Legia Warsaw playing Poznan the way it's being described. It's Harrogate Town FFS with possibly a few Leeds fans there v the bantams family. It's not Odsal 86.

You do know women attend football games. So calls of get your tits out, or why you refereeing the game when you should be in the kitchen are fair game tomorrow then? Looking at some of the referees we have had this season all who have been men, and basically all have been fecking useless. I'll be at the game with my daughter tomorrow who one day might want to become a referee. Lets hope I don't have to explain to her what some drunken moron is shouting at the referee for simply being born female.

Every appointment he’s made has been wrong

 

We have serious problems. Problems beyond a manager change.

The owner doesn't give a shit.
The CEO is a novice and out of his depth.
Our budget isn't great and what we do have is misused .
The squad is a long way short.
The manager is the wrong fit, clearly.
We've ripped up our recruitment team and deployed scouts chosen by a manager who might be on his way within weeks, even days.
Fans are becoming disengaged and even apathetic.

This is a shit show.

 

So Adams drops the 'problems off the pitch' tease yet again. Alludes to the club not giving managers time and said would be stupid and immature to get rid of another one so soon. Pleading for his job then

 

I understand the "give a manager time" bit but in that time you have to improve overall squad performance and DA just isn't doing that IMHO. We look no better (or as bad as) the previous 2-3 seasons.

I expected him to be somewhat defensive today but TO BLAME THE BRADFORD CITY FANS for all the shite ON the pitch is a Gerald Ratner moment.

I can only recall singing against a recent City manager @ Carlisle away Boxing day (Bowyer) and at home to Orient last week. So go feck yourself DA I along with all my Bantam supporters are most definitely NOT the problem.

 

Do you not see Adams as the cause too? In my eyes he has not improved one aspect at the club, he is alienating everyone and all he's good at is telling us how good he is!

Adams post match: lots of chances. We could have scored 3 or 4. Their keeper had a great game. It was windy. We were the better side. Elliot went off due to lack of fitness. Harrogate a massive team in English football and want it as much as us. We’re still 6 points off the playoff places.

This squad of players do not want to play for him. 1 point from 9 against Crawley , Orient and Harrogate is terrible and enough to deserve the sack, let alone the rubbish that has gone before. Sparks and Rupp need to grow some balls and get shut and front up to the fans and tell us what is really going on. 8 wins from 29 league games is a disgrace.

 

Compare the Harrogate chairman to the Bradford City chairman and you'll understand why they beat us
