As I posted I would have gone with @Sergio Pinto III chosen 11 but Adams is the guy who makes the selections, lets hope he ROD shows us why he's been selected today.

 

We've had good chances to win it and on the balance of play have probably been the better side.

 

We really didn’t they had a few periods of pressure but for one sitter they created little.

 

Fair result both teams should have scored.

I thought Exeter looked bang average. Only day 1, and they're usually up there, but they've had a big turnover in their squad. Too early to say who'll do what.

 

How can you know Exeter are the benchmark? Good season last year, shipped some players out and signed some. Going to take a few weeks for all of the stronger teams to become obvious.

 

For what it's worth I thought the 90 minute performance was decent enough. Certainly things to work on but definitely something to work with.

It's also stating the obvious but with so many teams very similar in terms of ability we really needed to score during that first half period when on top. Failure to do that put us under unnecessary pressure and we'll need to be more clinical going forward if we're to achieve our stated aims this year.

 

Angol missed a couple of chances. However his interplay with Cook was good after only a few weeks together. Angol has good feet and touch. How you can justify angol and Lavery are Shite at this point I have no idea. Lavery hasn’t kicked a ball.

 

Makes a change from some the clowns who have seemingly watched a different game than anyone else when they get interviewed. Hard to argue with his take. Also, a bit of class to put the game 2nd to expressing his sentiments to a grieving family. All in all seems like a top fella

 

The two commentators from Radio Devon said we could have been 2 up at half time we were the only side creating chances, unfortunatly we didn't take them but we will on another day.

I was actually pleasantly buoyed by the performance yesterday. We have clearly strengthened in key areas. Threlkeld (why couldn't ANDY K pronounce his name) looks like he might fill a hole that was there all last season. Ridehalgh similarly. I thought Gillead was solid if not inspirational. Angol promising (one game lads).

For me one of the most telling things was Vernham's second half cameo. I was happy to see him go and never be seen again after last year - dross in my eyes. Yesterday he looked motivated, fit and dangerous. If Adams can get a tune out of players that otherwise would make you pull your hair out then that is worth a couple of signings in itself.

Agree we need another striking option in all likelihood - not ten a penny though are they.

 

I see this is your new Mantra @Fordy117 ”we lack Quality” let’s wait and see before we judge that but I am sure we have as much if not more than the majority of league two
