We're all fed up mate, but taking in a 500 mile round trip you'd think they would have made themselves heard, that's not having a go credit to the 400+ but were renowned for backing our players and being vocal, maybe as you say this was the final straw.

I am a bit worried by the interview to be honest. Calling out the owner and the CEO publicly usually ends badly.

My only question to Adams after that post match interview would be. If Lee Angol is so central to the way you want the team to play, as he explicitly made clear. Then why isn't there a direct replacement in the squad? Especially when you look at Angol's stats and you can see the most any team seems to get out of him is 20 games a season. Why not take a punt on a similar type of player on loan, for instance. Seems very short sighted to me.

 

Some snowflakes won’t like him calling people out, good on him best interview I’ve heard in a while. This club has been toxic and had too many passengers on and off the pitch for years. Unfortunately I think he’s fighting against the tide with those above him not being up to their roles.

 

You criticise your bosses in public. They won't like it. Who holds the power in that relationship? For all they have invested their options in him alone, the owner and CEO hire and fire, not the manager.

 

It was certainly a much to the point interview, I'm not sure he was implying Sparks was partly to blame if he knows our recent history it's one of the few positives, Rupp is another question, not sure if he'll even know of Adams outburst or care to be honest.
As fans we have openly criticised Rupp for his lack of involvement in our club, only time will tell if what Adams has said will get him in deep water, I hope its a wake up call for all concerned at our football club.

 

But they’ve tried firing in the past and we are now 12th in league 2. Do we just accept then that we are destined to stay at this level for the foreseeable future and Rupp will never get anywhere near what he wants for the club.
Adams is the man to get us out of this league but it has to start with help from the top.
Not just sound bites to sell tickets.

 

Commentators kept saying he was knackered from around the 60th minute. He's slow, off the pace and generally not good enough. Staunton would be better. He'll become a first team player or potentially have a sell on value.

 

Sounds so like Hopkin in his last days.Presumably happy to accept the budget given him and terms of contract, so what is it that is at the heart of our demise. He, like a predecessor, again points to the structure within the Club, obviously feeling he has one hand tied behind his back.Adams either feels let down by his employers or have they reneged on what was promised?

 

The other side of that debate is with us lacking attacking players should Crankshaw have started as our only out and out winger, Gilliead has hardly been playing wide.

 

I’d say Bradford City need Derek Adams more than Derek Adams needs Bradford City. He’s a good manager with a proven history of promotion. We’d struggle to get a manager with his pedigree and he knows that. If Sparks or Rupp sack him then he’s getting the rest of his three year contract paid up. It also deflects the blame and the pressure upwards which is what Sparks is paid to have on his shoulders.

 

I posted after the Turnbull situation, were the signing of Robinson & Lavery the last straw, did Adams have his targets that the club couldn't get for whatever reason so we filled the numbers up with those two.

 

Not a chance he's getting sacked after a run of bad results, although we are at the formidable '7' game stage, albeit it's 7 without a win not 7 consecutive defeats.

Far too early to be making judgement calls now, give it another month and see what happens. The league is very tight and only 9 points splits 2nd to bottom so October will stretch it out a bit.

No need to panic, and those who are calling for Derek's head at this stage need to find a little more excitement to their Saturday night's.

 

Wow Crankshaws morale is going to be good tonight. Not. Thought it was a bit harsh on him, as he was one of our more direct players today.
