I'm sure many of us will find his assessment of Crankshaw puzzling when he's created only our second assist in 7 games.

He talks sense but again demonstrates that he's rather like a petulant child when he wants to be.

Against United U23s it was that City fans wanted to see players given a chance and they failed. Now here Crankshaw created only our second assist in seven matches having been given zero game time by Adams in the league and yet he responded abruptly that he didn't have an impact? Nonsense.

He talks sense but he needs to have more control over his emotions and not respond so petulantly.

 

Rotten from bottom to core, we need wholesale changes. Nothing on Adams is this. I feel he’s been sold the golden path like us on the 1903 club for a small example. He’s got every club he’s had out of this league, this is on us, something is very very rotten behind the scenes and change needs to happen sharpish. Whether it’s the directors or the owners but we must demand better. Protests maybe the next step.

I think if Jamie has mentioned any player Adams would have given the same reply, unfotunatly it was Crankshaws name that was brought up.

 

I don't know about anyone else, but resolving long standing issues in the football department whilst simultaneously trying to get promoted doesn't sound feasible.

 

not sure how the issues can be long standing in the football department as I don’t think anyone in it has been with the club for more than a couple of years.

 

I hear Adams comments aiming at Rupp and Sparks myself.

We've a shit owner in Rupp for years.
We've had a shit CEO in Rhodes and Sparks for years.
We've made excuses for failure for years.

The above are why the same shit keeps on happening.

This is what Adams was implying in my mind.

 

He is asking some players to do more than their ability yet still picking them when they are failing, That is down to him nobody else, As for the dressing room nothing saps confidence more than seeing poor players perform poorly yet get picked in front of you week after week. Stop blaming players in the press and start dropping them that is the way to make players work harder

If the removal of Turnbull and the October statement, is the start of a revolution, that begins change at our club, on a football level, then bring it on. We have been in the doldrums too long and something has to give.
You can not blame the players for signing contracts, but you can point fingers for lack of effort in some cases, and the less said about the finishing the better. Woefull is the only word i would use. Lavery and Robinson can not be blamed fot this, they have hardly kicked a ball in anger.
Recruitment and players fitness also needs addressing.
Also having 6 possable starters out of the team through injury ,would severly damage any team in this league, especially as 5 of them are attacking players.
Reflecting on the season so far , yes i am as annoyed as most fans seem to be with this current slump. We just have to hope that the injured players are back into the mix soon and give us the boost we need, and also a kick up the arse to certain players , who appear on the team sheet, no matter what they produce in games, just through a lack of competition.

 

After yesterday's performance, the players I'd say need dropping are ROD, Threlkeld, Kelleher, Watt, Songo'o, Evans and Gilliead.
As things stand, their replacements would be Hornby, FCD, Staunton, Foulds, Sutton, Scales and Crankshaw.

With you absolutely Wilsden. Interesting chat yesterday with a mate who's a big Morecambe fan - and I quote from him 'if a club like Bradford City can't get promoted with a manager as good in the lower leagues as Derek Adams, then there's something dead wrong with your club'. Some point.

 

Adams is doing a damn good job ruffling feathers. He's a wise old bird and knows where the fault lines lie. People who whinge about him not being interested in the development of the younger players should just get real. ALL we need, and must have, is promotion out of this godawful division. Then we can look further forward.

Just how many times does the subject of Valley Parade being owned by Gibb/Pension Fund need to be discussed, the man has us by the short and curlies and as you say nothing will change when we discuss negotiating a new rental agreement.
