The games come thick and fast now and after yesterday's performance anything is possible. Hopefully watts red card will be overturned. I'm cautiously optimistic and I'm going 2 nil City win.

Carry on playing like yesterday and there’s no reason why we can’t win all remaining 4 games

Seems some can't acknowledge a bit of positivity, in the few games Hughes has been in charge we have improved more or less game on game lets just enjoy whats left of the season.
https://bantamtalk.com/index.php?threads/tranmere-home-friday-15th-april-2022.6087/page-2#post-630675 I said unbeaten but as you say 4 straight wins is not beyond us, Sutton are going well but as we've seen ourselves in the past the final few games have massive pressure on teams trying to cement a play off place.

We won't because we can't finish. A huge issue that needs addressing.

Elliott, Robinson, Angol, Lavery and Cook is all about quantity than quality

    This.

Also, we have been playing well, and we STILL haven't been winning. There's no way to fault the character, effort or desire of the players, but they are not good enough to win four straight.

This is football. Playing well does not guarantee victories, it's not that simple. It just increases your chances, but then you've to factor in incompetent officials, bad luck, injuries, the opposition, and the rest.

Sounds obvious, but that's why it's silly to predict win streaks and title victories unless you know you have the best manager, best players, best tactics, best luck, best run of games, and all the rest.

People will probably get silly in the Summer if we sign a few tasty players. 7th remains the minimum target, though, just as it was this season. Not first, not second, but seventh.

If we win two of the next four, that will be a fantastic achievement. Dreaming of winning all four doesn't achieve anything except the setting of unrealistic expectations.

You have to approach every game in the mind that you can win, anything else and your beaten before you start.
By the way I didn’t predict 4 straight wins merely stated it wasn’t beyond us

    Yeah, I agree with you.

I'm more thinking about next season and how people are in prime position to get carried away with their predictions.

I still remember when we had Donaldson and Vaughan and there were legit people expecting them to score 40-50 between them because they were far too good for the division.

In the end they scored 15 between them.

How many clear cut chances did we have against Tranmere though? Got to create them to miss them as well.

Some very good wing play on Friday and some fairly poor balls into the box.

Didn't Walker score from a Hendrie cross into the box.

That’s the only effective one. I commented on the day how poor Hendrie’s control and crossing was dire before our goal and Ridehalgh isn’t the Ridehalgh before his injury. They got up and down well , absolutely, it was just a poor end product….other than the goal.

Nobody bothered to mark Hendrie for the entire first half, he had all the space in the world on the right. Picked out Clarke far too many times, but his crossing isn't all bad, he's put some decent balls in in recent games, just not at a high enough percentage.

Hughes said similar after the game, something to work on.
