if they can't or don't want to find another club the usual route is to make them a payoff offer.

    My thoughts on the game

Certain players tend to shine when they have good players around em

And certain players tend to play worse when surrounded by shit

Paudie is a good example of the former an Walker is a good example for the latter

No one stood out today, But a few observations suggest that Lavery, When actually fit, has half a football brain in him an is actually quiet decent on the ball. And on crosses, go figure!

Hendrie may not be the best but my god is Threlkeld awful. He’s the worst player to put on the Claret an Amber in the better part of a Decade an its not even close

Football is all about triangles. Give an go, give an go. Unfortunately for our players, It appears The “Go” part of the equation is silent. Lets just pass the ball an stand around with our cocks in our hands an wait for Houdini to somehow help us create a chance

There is a concept taught to football at grass routes level. When you receive the ball, You open your body up so you have more options available to you. You don’t receive the ball an just face the player who gave the ball to you, cus the ball will just end up where it started

Songo may not be a ball carrier so to speak. Hes more of a destroyer type midfielder. Even he should have the basic ability to carry the ball forward somewhat. Whats with all these square passes to Paudie within our own penalty box when the colchester players are standing 20 yards off him? Like surely he’s not that inept at using his feet

Evans has the turning circle of the titanic. Ironic really considering he has the agility of an iceberg

Sutton doesn’t look interested, Looks like negotiations haven’t gone well

Gillead doing his best impression of the wandering Jew again. Great work lad, only thing he’s been consistent at this season

on a side note. Never has a player played this many games over a course of a season an not one person has established what his best position is. Not a striker. Definitely not a winger. Was useless as a no.8. We need to find a position which involves a lot of running but is no where near the ball. Maybe a cheerleading spot might open up in the summer

Someone needs to remind Cook this isn’t sunday league. You actually have to stay in good shape to be good at the job at hand. No surprise his form has dropped off a cliff

Cooke treated Colchester’s pitch like a bouncy castle. He was all over the place an the ball bounced up every time it got to him

Il leave things on a somewhat good note. Its a shame Angol is always injured because he actually looks like a decent footballer in this league

I realise now that its not much of a good note, But yeah….

    Roll on Scunthorpe!

They were all pretty poor today but Threlkeld in particular looked disinterested, never looking to get the ball forward. Three or four times in the first half Evans gave him the ball in their half with space ahead of him. Not once did he look to take it forward.

I think that was Mark Hughes diplomatic way of saying he feels the same as us about a lot of the squad now that he has seen them in action.

I've never been able to fault Robinsons desire. He's just not very good at football.

We have no proof though 75, it’s all about opinions. My opinion is we can do better, but if we had a good replacement centre back pairing then we could risk signing him. Average keepers are shown to have flaws if your central defenders are poor , the same keeper is said to be great if we have a GOOD centre back pairing.

That why I believe Paudie should be let go, and Songo’o sidelined as back up only.

Not sure the fans traveling just short of 450 miles will see it as a successf exercise sie, but your right he will have learnt about a few out there yesterday, he alluded to it post match but unlike Adams didn't mention individuals, he didn't need to.

Watched Halifax v Chesterfield after yesterdays circus and while there was more desire and commitment in that game I didn't see any player with greater skill levels on either side that was better than what we have already....depressing...

Why would you expect non league players to have greater skill levels than a L2 side?

Not sure I agree Tony. The finishing from Halifax was a level above what we have delivered this season. Two finishes from the edge of the box.

They're exactly the sort of chances we've been missing all season long.

Well Tshimanga, who some of our fans wanted to sign, had 24 goals from 27 games in the league this season, but is unfortunately missing due to a bad injury

In fact now that he's had a severe injury, the club might actually be interested in signing him....

He can't play for anybody else this season,as he has already played for two clubs. He went back to Huddersfield for treatment, but I don't know if he is still there.
