    Ben Muirhead, now he was very quick. Just looked at his goal stats, 4 in 112 starts!! Not the greatest crosser of the ball if my memory is correct!

    Connolly with 1 in 29 for City, so the ratio was about the same, if not poorer.

    Blistering pace, is well, blistering pace. It needs to be combined with skill, and a football brain, to add a lot of value.

    No irony at all if you take the time to investigate.

    I have said, multiple times, that Parkinson would have gained automatic promotion with the same squad. One that he was mostly responsible for.

    McClown/McCrap/Teflon ultimately won nothing that year (or any year for that matter). No prizes for coming second.
    I move between the astral planes. In one of the multiverses Parky stayed with us and we went up as champions. Believe....Believe....Believe.

    In the one I am currently inhabiting McCrap was appointed and we made the play offs but lost. But second best is OK with Teflon as manager. Clearly demonstrated by the fact that although he failed miserably at Scunthorpe after leaving us he was re-appointed with no one else even given any consideration.

    Truly how forward losing (deliberate!) clubs act.

    Ignoring the comments about the manager, Valley Parade seems to kill strikers’ goal scoring. I’m not sure many strikers would want to join with the recent history of how the team plays.

    Pace draws defenders and leaves space for others it also in some cases stops them getting forward in modern football pace and athleticism is important

    Never said it wasn’t, it could be seen as a foundation, but the more rounded player has to have other attributes. When Muirhead and Connolly were at Valley Parade, City were relegated three times.

    You may be right in what you are saying but you can't ignore the comment on the manager.

    Part of the attraction of a club to a prospective player is the manager.
