A points system would work but I also think that perhaps what could be seen as a minor game should carry more value.

Standard away game within 50 miles is one point

Over 50 miles is two points

Bonus point for an evening game

There will never be a system that suits everyone, some can't do evenings, some find trains / supporters club travel too expensive etc but a line has to be drawn somewhere if we are doing this.

I do personally think that someone who forks out for stevenage away on a Tuesday night deserves a little more than those who rock up at Oldham on a Saturday for a day out and a bit of aggro

 

I have priority membership but quite honestly money don't grow on trees.
Ridiculously short period of sale.

It doesn’t say but I know they capped it at whatever the smallest away capacity is to avoid the Fleetwood debacle of priority members not getting a ticket.

It is capped at 2000, but is also says it doesn't gurantee you a ticket where grounds have a lower limit , just give's you a better opportunity to obtain a ticket.
No doubt those uber supporters clubs will get 1st dibs and the rest of us will try and pick up whats left.

Limited to 2k. UNdertsand they only sold 700 last year so doub't they'll be an issue if you wanted to purchase one.

Yep, I remember the special conditions that allowed the supporters clubs to get a handful of tickets. Absolute disgrace in my humble opinion, especially as the club don't make you aware of this when parting you of your hard earned for one of the tickets.

 

I accept that many if not all of the Shipley Bantams members are elderly / disabled and cannot realistically queue through the night in the cold but that’s just tough shit.
The club clearly don’t learn lessons if they are willing to over subscribe the priority away tickets.
They should be capped at whatever the smallest away allocation is.

 

What is a con is the fact that these are ordered online and you don’t actually get a card. So why do you get charged a postage fee and a web fee? The £25 card doesn’t actually cost £25 due to the add-on fees they apply

 

It’s the fans who never go to away games that buy one who piss me off.
That’s what makes the system unfair when really it should be done via a loyalty system where you get points for every away game you go to.

 

Most teams who have a loyalty system have a set points regardless of distance or it starts to get really complicated so it's set at something like season ticket = 230 points, home & away tickets = 10 points each.

Surely it will be calculated by by the previous season basis, IE starting this season 2019/20 with Grimsby right the way through to Northampton, each game as you suggest accrued 1 point or 10 points per game, this data base would then be used for the following season 2020/21 and the points accrued that season will be used for the following season and so on ?.

 

These days it’s a 70/30 split so 70 % to top cappers ( most points /games ) 30 % to people who ever else applies via a ballot if it’s over subscribed .

 

Bound to happen soon m8. I mean the queues around the block for Exeter away tickets are going to be there for all those with the accumulated points in a system that doesn’t exist yet. And of course it wouldn’t be possible to put unsold tickets on sale to those without a card. Clearly the club haven’t properly thought through a system they haven’t implemented yet which is almost certainly unnecessary for the majority of games in Division 4.

I'm not sure what all the moaning is about? The home end is generally a better view and much more fun to be ejected from when we've just netted a last minute winner.

 

How many times will the priority only sell out all tickets? I’d say none.

It’s an easy money earner for club where people who buy one hope for a Chelsea away

 

Priority should go to loyal fans, not some one who has paid for the privilege.

 

Apologies if this has already been stated earlier in the thread.

I was told by the ticket office today that they have limited the Priority Away tickets to 1000 this year and they are now sold out.

 

Its a ticket for the football, the way some go on you'd think they'd been hit with an unexpected tax bill.
