I agree with a lot of the budget stuff.

However, a justification of...

Is clearly backwards. Just because they were good enough 20 years ago (if they indeed were) doesn't mean they are now regardless of level. Times have moved on.

 

Just mentioning this on Twitter over dinnertime. Scandalous really. Rhodes the penny pincher strikes again. That deficit needs clearing as always.

 

Havent we had the majority of it already? Cleared the overspend last year and some back to rupp to cover this years spend.

Id imagine its only the "staying up" bonus we are yet to receive and of course any further goal related add ons if they applicable still.

 

Still to receive just short of half a million from it should sheff Utd stay up. Which is looking likely.

Couldn’t the owner cover some overspend and let’s say 2 million of this money be ring fenced for a project?

 

At least his spreadsheet will look nice.

Well pally with Rhodes so you can bet that's where the 'accurate' figures have been aquired.
He's decent to be fair is Sutcliffe

I agree, we always seem to be clearing debts. The last one was run up by Rahic, thanks to his shambolic management.

 

Will we ever get a simple breakdown of income and expenditure? It is like knitting fog trying to work out where the money is going. We have not only had the McBurnie money this season, we have had the Wells money, and the lad we sold to Liverpool. What I would like to see is how much have our owners actually invested in our club apart from the original investment, but doesn’t assist the club as it all went to Rhodes and Lawn. I thought our budget was the ST sales? Just totally fed up with constantly being told no matter how many millions come in that we have no money for essentials like investment in the pitch!

I was told two weeks ago, by someone who would probably know, that Rupp is still underwriting the club. Whether that’s putting hard cash in to pay the bills, the odd short term loan to ease cash flow problems or simply promising to Yorkshire Bank he’ll cough up any short fall I don’t know. But what would help is if the club published the full audited and not the abridged accounts. 2018/19s are due soon so we’ll see if they’re going to be more open.

 

Didn't he come out and say he the only reason they were printed like that was due to the fact they've been done like that for years? Aka suggesting we could see more open accounts in the foreseeable future...

 

I hope so it would stop all this speculation that goes on.. football fans need to know hard facts rather than rumours and counter rumours.
