    This breaks it down nicely.

You're slightly over egging the amount we're due. The real anount we are receiving is about £2.9m.

It will still keep the wolves from the VP door for a little longer! :)

I am going from what was posted today on Twitter. Will be a total of 3.2 million once sheff Utd stay in the league.
Out of interest why do you quote 2.9 million?

whichever figure it is, close to 3 million and we’ve seen the worst side ever put together on the pitch and nothing else

I suggest you re-do your sums based on 15% of the profit Swansea have made from the £500k it cost them to buy McBurnie from us and selling him to the Blades for £19.87m (since you're quoting Twitter) and see what number you calculate! ;)

So around 2.9 million I get. Think the guy from athletic has done some dodgy sums. But even so. Point still stands as I said. 2.9 million is a lot of money

Athletic is normally very reliable to be fair.

I've no idea what or who Athletic is. But the numbers quoted by 'him' on how much the Blades are paying Swansea in the three instalments is very close to my own information.

Has Sutcliffe moved from the YP or is this another outlet of his?

If Sutcliffe is quoting something City-related, I'd tend to believe it since as you say, he is JR's go-to journo.

ps And nothing to do with him being a friend and former colleague of my ex b-i-l!

Left the YP for the Athletic, as did Phil Hay who was the resident Beeston Utd mouth piece at the YP

Think it started in America originally. They took a lot of top journalists when they started it in the UK and you have to pay to access it’s articles.
They do a lot of stories and are quite reliable. But more prem focussed really

I agree, we always seem to be clearing debts. The last one was run up by Rahic, thanks to his shambolic management.

Will we ever get a simple breakdown of income and expenditure? It is like knitting fog trying to work out where the money is going. We have not only had the McBurnie money this season, we have had the Wells money, and the lad we sold to Liverpool. What I would like to see is how much have our owners actually invested in our club apart from the original investment, but doesn’t assist the club as it all went to Rhodes and Lawn. I thought our budget was the ST sales? Just totally fed up with constantly being told no matter how many millions come in that we have no money for essentials like investment in the pitch!

Taking away any windfalls it would be interesting to know how much we are losing every year. Because the extra money won’t last for ever.

Yeah they tend to hire top inside journalists heavily connected with the club.

A mouth piece for the CEO's, owners.

No more than the majority of football clubs I’d imagine, most make a loss.

I'm not having it that all £3m from McBurnie doesn't massively cover last seasons shambles, surely £1m of that is available to get ourselves sorted with pitch etc.
