You’d like to think he isn’t, but I think Bowyer would have brought him from Blackpool over when he left if he could. He might not be on a lot but he’s still got a chuck of contact, and you can’t just have employees sitting there doing nothing it’s counterproductive.

Yes, I think he got a three year deal - if it's favourable, it might not be financially viable to bring in another assistant on similar money.

Anyway, it's all guess work unless someone knows anything - which I don't.

If we want promotion then scunthorpe away is Tj ed kind of game we need to win.

Looking at the stars from both ours and leeds playing Charlton away city and leeds had 74 & 72% possession of the game with a much higher attempts on goal when compared to scunthorpe and Charlton yet neither team could get a win!

    Draw Cambridge (11th)
    Draw Grimsby (7th)
    Win Oldham (20th)
    Win Stevenage (24th)
    Loss Forest Green (4th)
    Loss Crewe (2nd)
    Win Northampton (13th)
    Win Walsall (14th)
    Loss Cheltenham (3rd)
    Win Carlisle (16th)
    Draw Scunthorpe (23rd)

Before Scunthorpe, we had a 100 % record against teams in the bottom half. We have earned 16 points out of a possible 18. I'd say we ARE beating teams like Scunthorpe - if that's the kind of game we need to win, we're doing superbly well - so we should easily be going up.

But actually, it isn't just about winning those games, it's about being competitive - and the games we ACTUALLY need to be winning are against top half sides - of which we have beaten precisely zero.

We have lost to all the top six sides we've played, and drawn with another two from the top half. No wins at all.

For me, it's clear we can outperform sides in the bottom half - but there's literally no evidence to suggest we'll beat Cheltenham at the weekend.

Good analysis, although I'd suggest it is 100% guaranteed that we will not be beating Cheltenham this weekend, or any other weekend this season.

Taking Connelly off for Oteh was a big mistake.
Vaughan should have been dragged off instead. He gave us bugger all after his volley in the first 15 minutes.
Just piss moaned himself into the refs book and got in the way of so many moves it was unbelievable.
As much as Donaldson has missed some glaring chances recently he's contributing far more to the team than our so called captain atm

Appreciate your point he hasn’t been great but can you imagine the uproar if we took our main centre forward off chasing a goal?

he’s got a break from the side now and it might do him some good. Come back then for a run of fixtures where he should be looking to double his goal tally minimum

Agree, I thought the same Vaughan off Otech his replacement along side Donaldson.
Many say Bowyer often played 3 at the back I though maybe with 10/15 minutes to go he might have brought a defender off and stuck McCartan in midfield, maybe Bowyer was happy with a point.

On another subject can you recommend any decent watering holes and restaurants for families in Lancaster after the game Saturday

    Cheers in advance
