1. I'm not saying a draw yesterday was a good result. It was just about ok, not good. O wasn't pleased with it, I was frustrated. But wasn't the disaster some like to make out.

2. Football history is littered with examples of clubs throwing big money at their squad and achieving poor results. It doesn't always work. It's far too early to judge whether Bowyer's approach will be successful or not, but it will have to be done without mega bucks because Rupp isn't going to chuck enormous piles of money in, however much we might like him to.

3. We were controlling the game. We had something like 75% possession and 17 shots to their four. The main reason we didn't win was poor decision making and poor finishing by players.

4. Yes, it is 2 points dropped. But last season we'd have lost that game so it's also 1 point gained.
It's frustrating, but it's not the end of the world. We're only 4 points off the auto places and 6 points off the leaders with three quarters of the season left. Chill out.

 

The manager, the players and myself see it differently mate.

Winning breeds confidence and we should be winning games like yesterday. No excuses.

Watching the highlights, Vaughan hit the post, Donaldson missed an absolute sitter, and there were a couple of other chances.

We didn't drop points because of bad management, so let's bore off with that rhubarb now.

Scunthorpe parked the bus, and we need to do better when teams do that in future - but we drew because Vaughan hit the wrong lick of paint and because The Don put a header wide under next to no pressure.

That's not about the way we set up, or the substitutions, or the formation, or Bowyer's team talk, or what the players had for breakfast.

We were also unfortunate to concede, though it was a blatant penalty on reflection.

 

We missed chances and our manager bottled it.

He has a high level of draws in this division and it's clear why.

And anyone can watch a game of football and understand how a penalty can be unfortunate, even if it's their first time watching football.

The penalty we conceded was hardly going to be a goal. Yes it was handball, yes it was a penalty, but other than an unfortunately placed arm, Scunthorpe offered nothing on their patch. A team that finished higher than us last season were considerably worse than we were.

Managers shite because players miss sitters and give away silly penalties. New one on me, but I’ll be interested to see if that logic takes off.

Anyway in Bowyer I trust. Just wish he had a proper assistant, but considering that and the crap from last year isn’t as easy to wash away as some think just ask Scunny and Huddersfield, then I don’t think he’s doing to shabby at all. I want stability at the club and a platform to move up the leagues from, sacking managers every two minutes won’t help.

 

It's just one game but that's not the point.We should of won!
Losing 2 points is how you look at it.Repeat this a few times
through the season and all of a sudden you're playing catch
up and it could be the difference between promotion or failure
and having to start all over again.

We have to be more clinical and we have to have wingers and
mid fielders creating chances.Hopefully,once we start taking
chances we will win regularly.We need to entrench ourselves
in the top three,improve our goal difference and stay there!

 

Regarding an assistant, SURELY Drury isn't on a super wage like some of the dross we've had to offload?
