To be fair he scored a belter at Rochdale in the relegation season. I only managed to get back for one game that season, and it was Rochdale away. What a game and performance for the one game I watched live that season. Really thought we had turned a corner in that game. Totally unplayable.... what might have been....

 

Anybody else think something might have changed between the start of pre-season and now with regards to the budget? There was initially lots of talk of transfers before Vaughan left and in the immediate aftermath. Stuart was looking at making 2-3 signings before Vaughan left, then we were looking at persuading a couple of strikers to drop down to league two, now we are talking about signing "a couple" more but not being in any rush to do so. Can't help but wonder if Stuart has had the rug pulled out from underneath him....again.

 

It looked good but the keepers made a right hash of it. Always a good away day at Rochdale. Unfortunately that cameo from Miller was about as good as it got, the lad couldn't even get the basics right. And to think, what on earth were Barnsley thinking about spunking £250,000 on him? Madness.

Not at all. Stuart isn’t very good at hiding his feelings if people above are pulling the plug on transfers. He sounds very upbeat and I think we all need to be patient and see what happens. He’s always liked a smaller squad and didn’t like the huge squad Bowyer signed. I think he is biding his time to get the striker he wants.
