I agree, but you've read the comments with regards McCall and his Ipod, the days of going out and watching every player your thinking of signing have gone, as you say success can be gained from the likes of your above Brentford being very successful at it.

Probably way off the mark but a player Woking had on loan last season from Southampton (Tyreke Johnson) has just been recalled by the Saints from a loan in the States as he is expected to go out to a League 2 team. I recommended him to Gary Bowyer and his main scout last season (forgotten his name) as he was having a great spell at Woking but he got a bad shoulder injury which cut his loan short - reason I say unlikely is he is more of a wide man than a striker. Got a trick or two and turned a number of NL defenders inside out, all I would say is he is better than any of the wide men we currently have at the club

 

Think he's on the wind up, there was an interview when he signed where he went in detail all the different positions he'd played over the years and brought him on the left of the diamond... he's probably taking the piss out of him for missing chances in training

 

We have to remember we are a middling fourth division team. We will get players of that ilk such as Novak, Guthrie et al. We are in the middle of a global pandemic with reduced income, overseen by the regressive regime of Rupp.

Realism needs to take the front seat in these threads.
