    Although I can't agree with you on Jon Stead only performing in the cups. He was also very good in the league games, getting good performances out of Billy Clarke and Hanson, a good footballing brain, it's just that the cup games seem to stay in the memory longer, and so they should, I'll never ever forget that Chelsea game.
    Although the footballing ability is probably still there his legs have gone from what I have heard and I think we all agree that what we need is someone with pace.
    Having said that if we can get someone in with pace I would happily swap Steady for Guthrie. He would be more than useful off the bench.

    Maybe the new loan signing could be Hudders Kian Harrat? Signed a new deal today, academy player of the year 2020, 32 goals in 47 apps for the youth teams. Came off the bench in December 2019 for the first team and had a loan spell with Harrogate. Not like we don't have previous in bringing on their best young players.

    Someone mentioned Balotelli, I don’t think that would be beyond the realms he’s always up for a random challenge and loves the publicity, it would do us no harm in broadening our audience and international fan base would it. He’s got enough money in the bank to be able to live on a wage cut and IMO he’s just waiting for someone to make an approach.

    He could potentially become a new cult hero at City if he takes us up the leagues and gains popularity.

    What harm would it actually make in trying for Balotelli? Or Wilshere, Sturridge etc.
