    Reports emerge that National League clubs will receive financial support so season can begin
    It is being reported that National League clubs have been told they will receive an emergency grant so they can start their new season on Saturday.

    Not sure why the Government should make up the wage bill for companies like say Stoke, Salford, Pompey and other clubs who have owners worth hundreds of millions if not billions.

    However, the government should help out because in clubs have done all the government have asked to get fans back and its a government decision to pull it. The government need to come with with a plan or pay the costs.

    As I mentioned here earlier it seems, according to today's statement in Parliament, that it is not the government's intention to provide financial support for EFL clubs; rightly or wrongly they see that as the Premier League's responsibility. It does seem that they are prepared to 'lean' on the Premier League to help achieve that aim.

    Has been said a few times on here that is only for international transfers (presumably that includes Scotland). It is 16th October for English tranfers.

    More likely it's former postman and Swansea City speed merchant, John Williams. He's 6'1, 52 years old, and has scored 72 times in 452 appearances while turning out for 19 different clubs.
