5 or 6 times this game he's complained akpan is playing in front of the game. Playing for the counter attack.
He's subbed off and now he says "in this progressive team, trying to get on the front foot, it's not good enough"

Jake Reeves said the word "obviously" 25 times in a 4 minute interview.

 

Listening to Andy certainly exacerbated what was already an awful performance.

 

I'm sure I heard him say 'and Wood came from Norway '.

 

I just cannot listen to the man. He's the worst I've ever heard. He certainly isn't funny, he's beyond dire as a co-commentator. The memories of that dull monotone voice and lack of command of the English language still sends shivers down my spine.

 

Jamie is brilliant at post match interviewing, he used to put Stuart right in his box, Paxman was great at interviewing, I wouldn’t want him doing the City match commentary tho!
Sorry, in homage to AK commentarying

 

I prefer AK over Jamie. I just stand the constant clichés and his actual knowledge on the club is minimal. I'm convinced he sits there with a football thesaurus. Saying that the pair of them are an upgrade on the screaming Jason Thornton who was truly terrible.

 

I enjoy listening to Andy actually, love his enthusiasm for our club, okay, he might not be the most articulate, but doesn't stop me enjoying his co-commentary.

As others have said, Jamie is a far better interviewer than commentator. The one thing that constantly winds me up with Jamie is referring to the O'Connors and Clarke as the 'Irishman' quite often each game. There is absolutely no need for that, he doesn't refer the other players as 'Englishman'

 

He'd still show an empty kop how to clap.

 

That is my only bug bear with the commentary these days. I watch the football for two hours where I don't have to think about the bloody virus

Well "you know" there are more irritating sayings
footballers use like, "as I said" or "like I said" at the
start of an interview before they actually said owt!

 

He’s awful. Very rarely puts a sentence together and is the typical ex pro who thinks because he used to play his opinion is more valid than others
