Oh come on mate....fans ARE "doing their bit"......by booing the players week in week out and isn't the CEO under pressure from said fans to get rid of managers? Is it really ALL on him?

What if MH doesn't get promotion next season....will he be given time by the very patient fan base?

 

Why should people be patient with players who are clearly not up to league 2 standards, are the fans meant to be happy losing all the time and seeing some of the worst players ever to play for city.

 

Yeah OK Ryan, it's the fans fault. We'll all clap harder next season m9.

 

Fans don't get rid of managers, results do.

Mark Hughes needs to be given all of this season and next to right the wrongs. 23/24 should be the season we expect promotion.

 

I agree and if he sets a style of play to entertain whilst making progress that's fine by me. Hopefully his experience and contacts in the game will enable him to bring in the talent we need.

 

I'm sure Hughes' contact list will be just as good as Nigel Clough's. He managed to bring in Longstaff, and I expect us to bring in similar quality next season, even if half the team is loan players.

 

I know it was said this season was a big season and the goal WAS promotion well next season is even bigger.

The signing of Mark Hughes has given us fans a massive boost with regards the future no ifs or buts we can't have another two seasons in this league.
I hope these are the terms Hughes was brought in for, Stefan backs him and he does the business.

I sensed certain limitations budget wise in MH's initial interview, but it is essential to success that he has the FULL financial backing he needs to do the job he was engaged to do. As you say Dave the Club can't afford anymore failures in accomplishing our objectives.

 

We need to stop with the bullshite Adams said though of not getting loans in at the start of the season. That was bollocks.

We need quality loans in at the start of the season that we know will improve the team.

 

Yes of course there will be limitations, those limitations move accordingly throughout a football season and transfer window. Aka Mansfield, originally set a good budget, then saw the team on a run, and increased their original “ limitations” to provide Cloughie with funds to invest in Prem and CC loanees. I don’t believe any of this they are “ cheap” b/s.

 

Yeah results and CEOs get rid of managers. This idea that fans are that influential is a myth, clubs base their decisions on what they think is best not what us fans think.

Fans were booing becuase they had had enough. A club in complete disarray and a deluded manager coupled with a non existent transfer policy. For crying out loud stop blaming the fans for all the ills this club imparts on itself.

 

The more and more I think about it, what dross was he left with. Shocking recruitment. Least he gets a cleanish plate to deal with next season

 

He is 1 up on Adam's as he has time now to start planning for next season - assuming we stay up of course. If MH hasnt the contacts and financial backing to bring in the talent we need then we may all as well just give up now. This season defo now gone but optimistic for next

 

It's funny that the club keep reminding us that if we were winning, no one would care about trivialities like style of football, individual players, formations, etc etc etc - WHICH IS TRUE - but when we aren't winning games, the club pretends to be appalled that people care about those trivialities.

Weird how you become a keyboard warrior when you behave exactly as the club recognises you probably should behave. After all, mediocrity cannot be tolerated.

Alas....We strive to be mediocre!

 

Well if we don't, we're giving it a damn good go anyway!

 

Please god do not let Cook be a regular starter next year or we are trouble again.
